mike nicco coming up >>> welcome to a new month. and a new weather pattern, too. let's take a look at san francisco and what to expect. and i'll highlight through the next couple of days. we start at 62 and 49 for the high and low. we end up at 64 and 49. extremes 86 and 35 degrees. about three and a quarter inches of rain on average and we've had a little over nine for this month. want to give you a quick update for good news for our folks and friends in lake port. they are on clear lake. the flood warning was not extended. it ends on friday. and we are slowly getting the lake down to flood stage. it is at 9.9 and flood stage is 9. let's look at what is going on. the storm track is moving well to the north thanks to high pressure. clouds are out there but more than 100 miles off the coast so grab the sunglasses if you are heading out. and the east bay hills camera, across the richmond san rafael bridge toward marin and you could see how beautiful it looks this morning. and it is going to stay that with a blue sky and sunshine and warmer high this is afternoon. we

mike nicco tracking the storm where you live. hey, mike. >> hey, hi, everybody. we'll start right with the storm impact scale to give you an idea what to expect the next couple of hours. it is a two, it is moderate up to a third to an inch of rain. one to two inches in the north bay and our mountains. winds gusting to about 35 miles per hour but above 1500 feats areas in yellow it could gust up to 50 miles per hour bringing down trees and possible power outages. it is a small chance but it is out there. here is a look at that solid shield of yellow and orange. moderate rain from the san ram rone valley through the east bay hills back to the peninsula and the coast. let me show you which way this is moving. to the northeast and look at that fetch of moisture. so we still have about four or five hours of healthy rain. and i know down in the south bay, you are going, what? what rain? it is coming, i promise. wind and moderate rain through 4:00 and scattered by 6:00. isolated by 8:00. how about those roads out there, alexis? >> okay, mike. as you promised -- the wind

meteorologist mike nicco is here with a first look at your afternoon forecast. >> hi, hello, everybody. the worst of the storm hit overnight when most of us were sleeping as we thought it would. here is a look at the storm impact scale. scattered showers but some brief downpours are possible. and even a chance of lightning. we have a shower out of redwood city and morgan hit and sliding off to the east. the redevelopment is possible now that the sun is coming out. there is not a lot of energy out there but just enough for scattered showers and still some delays averaging 53 minutes trying to get into sfo. so scattered showers at 2:00 and becoming isolated at 4:00 and almost gone by 6:00 and once the sun sets, it is cooler than average with temperatures in the 50s. we have a bigger storm coming in friday. hour-by-hour forecast looking at that coming up. >>> this morning's rain caused problems for commutes trying to get to work or school. a down tree made a mess of things on alhambra road in martinez and in menlo park another tree proved challenging for parents and students. we are live
