meteorologist mike nicco is here. mike, we've been watching snowfall in some places. >> yeah, that's what you're seeing on the right side of your screen, reggie. that snow up on mt. tam. you can see down at the lower elevation, some of the ice made it down to the ground. that is hail in sausalito. we've also seen hail in other places as thunderstorms have run through places like berkeley and also albany and emeryville. our storm is going to continue to produce those waves of showers. our storm impact scale is a 1, light, because they'll be locally heavy but they won't be widespread. you need to watch out because they will have lightning and more hail with them. here's a look at what's going on. that thunderstorm that moved through the east bay is now well into the central valley and moving away from us. you can still see some snow falling on hamilton and light rain around morgan hill. and some spotty showers up across the north bay. look at this. what to expect over the next six hours. you can see future radar showing

if you're just joining us, get a quick update on weather and traffic starting with mike nicco. hey, mike. >> hi everybody. the heaviest snow is ahead of us in the sierra. mild morning out there. mid-40s. like clear lake at 44 in los gatos. morgan hill at 46. everybody else, upper 40s, low 50s. you have to dress for the wet weather. here's my 12-hour planner. it's going to be windy through the morning commute with light to moderate rain and the moderate rain will become light rain by noon and we'll go from windy to breezy conditions. we'll be breezy at 4:00 as we go from a steady rain to more showers. that's when the possibility of thunderstorms develop during the afternoon and evening hours. snow level today, about 4,000 feet. here's alexis with a new accident. >> yeah, a new problem in walnut creek. this is on southbound 680 just past olympic boulevard. not a terrible backup yet but starting to see the red form on the southbound side of 680 before you get to 24. two vehicles involved. another semi and a smaller car. i believe the sedan did flip over. we've got the two right lan

let's check in with meteorologist mike nicco. >> alexis, thank you very much.er less than 7 minutes from my accuweather forecast. san rafael, about 40 degrees. scattered showers and cool today. still be chilly tomorrow morning and we'll have showers. spring warmth comes back next week. >> here's a look at live doppler 7 on mt. saint helena. it's picking pup sprinkles in sonoma county. if you have sprinkles, let us know. at 9:00 this morning, that's still the best chance. up until noon, may be a random shower south of there. still looking at the north bay. as we head into the 4:00 hour, all the way up through the evening and early overnight hours, that's when we have the best chance of showers. maybe even a brief downpour from time to time during the overnight hours. wake up tomorrow morning, looks pretty clear out there. at least as far as the wet weather goes. during the afternoon and evening hours, showers develop in the north bay and slide southward. notice the coverage not as much. that coverage continues to taper as we head through sunday. look at that. do
