kron4's mike pelton reporting live from the concord b.a.r.t. station this morning. morning, mike. >> reporter: after running test trains, b.a.r.t. officials opened up the station just a few moments ago in time for the start of 8:00 sunday service. the first train scheduled to leave here, the concord station at 8:07 this morning. b.a.r.t. crews worked throughout the night to complete necessary repairs, however some work still remains. here are a couple of pictures. you can see that crossover track there remains damaged this morning. they do not need to repair that right this second. they rely on the outside rails for passenger service. those are the repairs crews keyed on overnight as maintenance crews worked through the night repairing and also replacing two 39-foot sections of damaged track here along the interlocking where that derailment occurred on friday, crews also worked on the damaged third rail. officials say their preliminary investigation shows the first two cars of the 10 car train came off the track, however, they had to use a large crane to remove four
