we'll go to captain mike perry getting a bird's eye view of the damage now. good afternoon, mike. >> reporter: good afternoon, jessica and everyone. it looks like the bulk of the damage along the city/county line is south of northern parkway. two roofs off of the building and where they landed 1/4 mile from where they blew off. this is along northern parkway and the crews are taking that debris and moving that out of the way. and it struck the town homes as it was traveling in the area and as mark pans to the left, we'll see one of the town homes there on the very end -- it suffered significant roof damage and as you go to the left, there's where the roofs came off of the apartments. it's fortunate that no one was killed. you can see the significant amount of debris and damage. it flew 1/4 of a mile and it didn't hit a lot of houses, it hit several, but not a lot. and there's a plethora -- dozens and dozens of bge vehicles here along mclain boulevard and it looks like a police command boost is set up. this effects the city of baltimore and some of this damage

let's go to sky eye chopper 13 and captain mike perry with more. what's happening? >> behind the arbutus, in the 5200 block. apparently, fire officials received the call of green -- green tint to the water. they have arrived on the scene. they have been unable to determine exactly what cause the water to turn green here. so they requested maryland department of the environment at the scene. at this point, it is not known if whreafer is leaking here is harmful to anyone. they are keeping a safe distance. and they have hazmat crews in the area. >> almost has the look of antifreeze, doesn't it? >> yeah. but the county uses this green dye to sometimes test the sewers. it possibly could be that. but we're waiting to hear. >> we'll check back in with you later. >>> violent holdup at a florida drug store. it's all caught on tape. tampa police are looking at the suspect still captured on video. pistol whipped the store manager and made off with prescription drugs. the suspect also stole several cars there. they are considered armed and dangerous. >>> the fbi has arrested tw

first warning weather coverage continues now with captain mike perry, in sky eye chopper 13. he has a view of the entire area, from where he is sitting. mike? >> reporter: hi, kai. we are along mclane boulevard, south of northern parkway, where most of the damage was done. this was where the roofs were literally ripped off the apartment buildings upon and as you can see, the power of this storm as it fell. trees after ripping off the roofs, knocking down the trees. and then causing the roofs to slam into the back of townhomes nearby. now after it did that damage, the actual roof itself continued up into the court and landed right up just south of northern parkway. now, there was a significant amount of debris here, lined up in front of these houses. you can see ripped shingles off, and ripped the siding off of many of these houses. it's just extremely fortunate that no one was killed as a result of this significant damage from this storm. and this appears to be the worst affected area, although not the only affected area. you can see three blocks south. high school here, along

let's go to captain mike perry with more. >>> you're looking at along northern parkway. this is where the ruse from -- roofs from the dutch village apartment complex landed about 300 yards north of where they originally came off. number 1, to assist employees and also to assist homeowners who may still be in the area. power has not been completely restored to the area. generally speak being, most of the people who are here are either residents who are being allowed to shelter in place. or workers who are actually just trying to restore some people's homes to liveability. we have mcclane boulevard. police command post is set up. and a number of police officers to enforce the curfew that adam was telling you about. >> still unclear what exactly swept through. >> well, we just got off the phone with the national weather service. said they hoped to have all of the information. but this is the storm that caused all of the damage. that went right near. and take a look at this. we're going to repeat this loop a couple of times. it comes from the southwest. and has bright colors

captain mike perry there with more. >> reporter: bateman and luana, vic. you're looking at beg trying to put out a fire on top of a telephone pole. apparently looks like an electrical fire of some sort. the neighborhood here to lose electric power. at this point, as you see, it's just bge here on the scene. the fire department has been standing by. they can't put any water on this until bge gets the power off. they had the fire out for a short period of time, with a fire extinguisher. but it looks now that they're going to have to shut the off -- power off and use another mode to get the fire out. >> thank you very much, captain mike perry. >>> updating the breaking story from last hour. violenceex rupt -- violence erupts. mare sein the newsroom-- mary is in the newsroom. >> reporter: information coming in. situation still pretty chaotic at this point. according to early reports, several people have been cut. it's not clear if the victims are inmates or guards. at least three ambulances were called to the scene, no word on the victim's condition just yet.
