let's go to captain mike perry with details. mike, i know this is somewhat of an evolving situation. have you learned any more? >> i've learned a little bit, kai. apparently the police helicopter was out here around 4:00 this afternoon. this looks like it's mostly girls, teenage girls. there are some males sprinkled in between. this looks like it started out to be some type of a fight between possibly two different schools or two different groups of teenagers. and has evolved into a very large incident where several people have been arrested. teenagers, mostly. well, what we is have seen since we were on the scene. police, several of them have been caught fighting. so they have been arrested for that. several have assaulted police and been arrested for that. and then we do have currently a large police presence in front of the cvs pharmacy here. this is on bel air road, right in front of ergman avenue, where there is about 20 or 30 teenagers right along the sidewalk here. police sort-them in a group at the moment. and there's ano

captain mike perry with more. captain mike? >> reporter: this all occurred around 3:30 this morning. a four-inch gas main was struck by the department of public works employees. this occurred in the 300 block of millington avenue. this is in southwest baltimore, near the southwest shopping center. apparently the water main broke, causing water to go into the broken gas main that dpw was woing on. now, we do know that immediately the gas had to be shut off to the area. now, this is affecting at least 900 customers right near the southwest shopping center. we do have bge on the scene and extensive bge response. nearly 50 bge vehicles, as well as a bge command post, and a fire command post, are in the rear of the west side shopping center. mark is showing that to you now. now, it is likely going to be several days before bge can effect this repair. there is water has gone into the gas main, and that causes problems. bge is also digging in an area south of west side shopping center. so expect not only a lot. gas disruption here in
