captain mike perry has more. >> wicked, nasty crash. it's going to be on the harbor tunnel throughway. this is called the ridgy highway spur. this comes off of the beltway and comes up and joins 895. we have at least five, maybe six vehicles involved. you're seeing a dump truck. and a van and an suv, all tied up here in the center of the railway. and as this pulls out, there's another sport utility vehicle in the median. several other cars a little farther down the left-hand side. now, medical units have not had an opportunity to get on scene at the moment. there is still one person. we know possibly trapped inside the white sport utility vehicle. several other people have been extricated from vehicles on the scene here. the northbound spur here, this is coming from 695 to the harbor tunnel throughway, is closed, just south of bel grove road, as anne arundel county police, maryland state police, transportation transportation authority police, and rescue units are still responding to the scene. the traffic backup is significant. you do n

captain mike perry has more on the developments. mike? >> reporter: hello, denise. itit all happened about a half hour ago. this is the metro stop in old court in baltimore county. where apparently a track emergency is determined what it is now. a fire occurred on one of the tracks for the northbound metro train, just north of the metro stop. causing a metro train to become disabled. train number 5. looked to have maybe 100 or more passengers on board. became disabled, just north of the rail stop. we're going to show you some video. what they did was, metro sent another train up here. and they transferred all of those patrons from the metro train that was disabled onto a rescue train. that train has since taken all the folks back to the metro stop. as we come back live, we can show you that that train has come to the metro stop and allowed all of these phobes to get off -- folks to get off. now, they are waiting for folks to come on the southbound side. the west track is still in north-south operation. they're going to take the folks eventually to their destination.

and captain mike perry has more. where are you, mike? >> we are eastbound the at taioga parkway. not far from mondawmin mall. we have a city school police vehicle, which was involved in some sort of a crash. now, it's not clear whether the police vehicle crashed after it lost a tire or lost a tire as a result of the crash. but we do have eastbound gwens falls parkway, closed. looks like duke land street. police are blocking the roadway. city police are conducting the roadway. we understand that the injuries are nonlife-threatening. and as we said, it is not real clear what caused this accident. but we do have a disabled car in the roadway, east of the railroad bridge. and police are going to be working to clean up that accident and investigate and find out what happened. back to you on tv hill. >> thank you, captain mike perry. >>> well, a well-liked student adviser at a local university is dead after a bizarre run-in with police. mary has more. >> reporter: patrick tony died four day the after has confrontation with anne arundel county police officers. last friday night, police

captain mike perry is over the scene with more. captain mike, what's happening? >> we are at the old court metro station. this is in the pikesville area of baltimore county. for a report of metro train accident. now, when we arrived on the scene, firefighters were extinguishing a small fire on the tracks. apparently, what happened was a metro train was leaving the old port stopped. it went about 30 yards north of the station. collided with something on the tracks. and then continued northbound. you see the train sitting there. now, apparently because you know, it requires electricity to make these trains run, they had to shut the power off to the rails, in order to get the fire extinguished. it is not clear whether there were any injuries to anyone on board, when they struck whatever it was that they did hit on the tracks. but the fire has been extinguished. fire officials are now checking with the train to ensure that no one on board was injured. it's not the train -- the train is not moving at this point. and it is not clear how long it will take to get power r

we go live to captain mike perry good afternoon. >> reporter: good afternoon. we are on the outer loop of 695 at charles street with a jackknifed tractor-trailer. as you can see this occurred about an hour ago. it is significant in the fact that a diesel fuel spill has occurred as a result of the tractor-trailer jackknifing and striking the right side barrier wall. we do not see any other vehicles involved here but it is tying up two lanes of the outer loop of 695 from the east side to the west side so expect major delays. we see a significant back up and it looks like fire officials and others are here some time working on this fuel spill and getting this tractor- trailer on the side of the roadway so it will be a big deal most of the afternoon. back to you. >> thank you very much. we will bring you more information on this accident as it becomes available. >>> weather-wise it is another beautiful day in our area. take a live look outside right now. the skies are pretty clear and there is a lit breeze blowing light breeze blowing but it is a lot warmer than it

captain mike perry with the very latest. captain mike. >> a little after 4:30 or a little before 4:30 this afternoon, two cars got together, crashed and then crashed into the center barrier of the southbound june falls expressway. we know two people inside were transported to local area hospitals with nonlife threatening injuries. however it is completely closed. the southbound june falls expressway at 45th street. you will see a very, very long line of traffic extending all the way back into baltimore county along the southbound james fall expressway. some folks turned around and trying to work their way back to cold spring. this accident is nearly cleared. the tow truck has arrived. one vehicle is on the tow truck. once they get the other attached police will release this traffic. so it should only be another 15 to 20 minutes. folks have gotten out of the car. the traffic has been delayed for about half an hour and it appears for the next 20 to 25 minutes everyone will remain closed. we'll stay on top of the situation and k

captain mike perry has details. >> sorry, denise. we're actually in harford county. passenger this bank robbery occurred at a bank in forest hill. maryland state police and harford county sheriff's department just made an apprehension on at least one person that we know of, possibly a second, they were tracking these individuals from the forest hill area, down to south bel air, where near the wal-mart, south of the benson police barracks, in harford county, where they went behind a wal-mart and ran into a wooded area. they called canine dogs from the harford county sheriff's office, and baltimore county police helicopter to assist in apprehending these individuals. we understand those persons were apprehended in the wooded area, just north of the wal- mart. you're looking at police activity, some fbi and harford county sheriff's office people on the scene, maintaining a crime scene here. just north of the wal-mart. now, we believe that passenger a -- personnel a -- apparently a vehicle that these people jumped from, was left in the wal-mart parking lot south of the b

maria milena is tracking the storm but mike tobin is live in the middle of the action in perry, oklahoma. >> in perry, oklahoma, it's windy, not unusual in storms of the velocity. the big one is off to the north of us. we've got information that that particular storm cell is already kicking up funnel clouds. we've got one unconfirmed report a funnel cloud touched down. overnight in the small hours of the morning, tornadoes did touchdown in oklahoma. in norman, oklahoma. in laughton, oklahoma. that is where a storm chaser got too close to the action and the funnel cloud who hopped over the car. he was to close the video doesn't show well what the cloud looked like but you can see the hail that followed the funnel cloud. the damage in oklahoma tells you the tornadoes weren't that big or powerful. we saw torn up roofs, broken trees, power lines out. there were some people who were injured but the hospitals tell us most of the injuries are bumps and bruises. those people are walking away. these storms are the ones forecasters have been looking at in an unprecedented situation. they've been a
