mike, how is it looking? >> we are going to start, however, we are going to start with christie smith who is live along 280 in san francisco. let's get to her first and we'll check in with you in a second, mike. you are there. you can see the activity under way. what should drivers know? >> good morning to you. well, drivers are going to have to know that southbound lanes of 280 are closed through the long weekend. they're just going to have to find another way to get around it. while all of this is seismic safety work is going on and that's what you see happening here behind me. what they're telling us is that about 60,000 drivers use the southbound lanes through san francisco each day. what they're doing is replacing hinges that are about a foot below the roadway. they're outdated about 50 years old and caltrans says no one uses this style any more so they have to replace them. so, until tuesday, neighbors, people in town to see a giants game or carnaval or students home for the holiday are going to have to find a lot of company out there on the streets, if they decide to drive. 5 on and off ramps near at&t

"today in the bay" christie smiths joining us live in oakland where police officers are keeping a presence by the girl's home. christie? >> good morning. we just heard from one woman who walked out of the home who said, look, i already gave my statement to police and that's it, i have to go, i'm late for work. so, still, a lot of unanswered questions this morning. police have canvassed the area and it has been 13 hours since this little girl was seen around here and they are asking for the public's help in finding her and she is just 7 years old, as you said. her name is kianna orer and we have a picture to share with you this morning. she is four feet tall, 50 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. that was yesterday around 6:00 p.m. now oakland police have been parked on the block pretty much overnight. we shot some new video for you this morning. what they told us only is that she is still missing. but they haven't released the circumstances of her
