look at milford, where vaughn was, this is the 2016 result. when we start getting results from milford, this will be true up in goffstown as well, this will be true in londonderry, a whole bunch like this around the state. we're basically, if it is about 50/50, that's what haley needs to be getting it close to state wide out of those towns. the further it gets from 50/50 in those places i'm talking about right there, the more we'll see the result state wide that resembles what we have been seeing in the polls, a wide trump lead. >> how quickly do returns come in, in new hampshire? >> yeah, so, a couple of things here, typically -- reload this map, typically, 7:00 poll closing time, that first hour can be pretty slow. if you want to compare this race to a past race 2016 on the democratic side, basically a two candidate race, clinton and bernie sanders, this is a two-candidate race. about 10% of the vote in 2016 for the democrats came in between 7:00 and 8:00. that's a rough benchmark. 20% in the first hour. the other thing to keep in mind, the

let's go to vaughn hillyard in milford, new hampshire, at another polling site.there's still a lot of activity there. what's happening? >> i was talking to a gentleman, there was just one polling site in milford, a community of about 16,000. back in the 2020 election, joe biden won over donald trump by just 34 votes. so there's a healthy number of democrats, republicans, and independents that are all coming out here. and this community also reflected the statewide vote in the gop primary back in 2016. so it's a really good barometer and we have seen a healthy stream. talking with a gentleman overseeing this here. he said it's not eye popping turnout, but it's also not low turnout. a good, steady stream of folks. i want you to hear from one gentleman. frank, a 45-year restaurant in the community. >> yes. >> who did you vote for? >> donald trump. >> how confident are you that donald trump pulls off a win? >> extremely confident and i'm very hopeful. he's the only one i feel that can prevent us from going further into this put of ruination by the liberals in the cou

milford on the map there if it's a close race statewide it will be close in these towns. have trump ahead by 10, 15, 20 points. that suggests a result that's looking like the polls have been looked like, londonderry, another one to look at. essentially one to keep in mind here, so much of the vote in new hampshire really comes from this basically southeast portion of the state. the two cities there, nashua and manchester. and a lot of these communities, bedroom communities along the border with massachusetts, or just north of the border here, higher population areas, relative to the rest of the state. and also important to keep in mind, those cities and towns tend to report out the results first. there are a lot of much smaller towns throughout the rest of the state who have old school ballot boxes you check off the name on a piece of paper and they count the paper up. more likely to have the voting machines tabulate much quicker. i think we'll get the result from the more densely populated portion of the state early. again, benchmarks to show you, i've got them on the pa
