north bay highs in the low 80s from mill valley and reaching 99 in ukiah. now we are of course still monitoring the drought and looking across the region. all of these areas are in some kind of drought at least abnormally dry but some of the worst of the drought continues to be right here in california and even right here in the bay area. so looking at about 45% of our state and the highest level of the drought exceptional drought and about 88% of the state is in the extreme category or higher. so this extreme drought continues. we look to see if there is any rain in the forecast. there will be a storm system approaching heading into the early part of next week. but a lot of that rain just kind of falls apart before it gets here. one thing it will do? help cool us off so as we look at our ten day forecast for a spot like livermore we're hot today, warm tomorrow, then cooler for the weekend. by next week we're talking about highs in the upper 70s so it is going to be really nice. so for our inland temperatures it will be cooling off over the next several day
