the south bay tonight there has been a coronavirus outbreak at elmwood santa clara county jail in milpitas. authorities say they discovered the outbreak quite by accident and inmate was tested for covid-19 before scheduled dentist appointment. and the results came back positive as a result, the rest of the unit was tested. and that revealed 15 more infections. authorities are now sanitizing the facility visitations they've been suspended and a plan is being developed to test all staff members at the jail. santa rita jail recently released their latest coronavirus numbers that jail is reporting a total of 201 positive coronavirus cases, 28 inmates are currently positive for covid-19 of those 28 23 are asymptomatic 141 inmates have recovered well 11 have since been released and so far no inmates or staff have died from the virus. there. a tragic first for the coronavirus in california today, the state's first teenager has died from the virus. jocelyn moran is in fresno with the latest. >>completely heartbreaking the state announced the death earlier today and valley children's confirmed that
