and they were so republican the milwaukee metropolitan area which is made up a bloop milwaukee county in three republican counties collectively the milwaukee metropolitan area was more republican than the state as a whole. this is a major metropolis. it was more in the state of the hole was carried by the metropolitan area. all of that has changed since 2016. now metro milwaukee sought 10 points democratic. both in the city in the suburbs. major swing and the communities plus a 40 year plus 45. both plus 15 republicans are no longer the most republican counties in wisconsin but ozaukee county it used to be the most republican county is the most highest education level, highest income level in the state. it's almost 44th. in terms of the size of the republican margin that generates. so, these are huge changes we thought of for a long time as hallmarks of wisconsin politics. there's also changes in which the state has kinda become more like the nation as a whole. starting to conform to the national trends. but they are happening later. they are more jarring is not that long ago democrat
