bret lemoine is live outside milwaukees city hall with the latest: the wisconsin election commission in madison confirms they are trying to get in touch with city clerks throughout the state tonight... letting them know a recount of the presidential race someone on the ballot needs to initiate a recount... and that person will likely be former green party presidential candidate jill stein. the election commission says a representative from steins campaign called today... notifying the state of their intention to file a recount... and the state is proceeding as if that will actually happen. the green party has been vocal about starting recounts in three states... after what they believe are anomalies in some municipalities results. in enough votes to put democrat hillary clinton ahead of president-elect donald trump. clinton has not expressed interest in initiating a recount... which is why the green party has stepped in. the deadline to file needed paperwork is 5 p-m friday. im told the green party would be responsible for paying for this recount in wisconsin. the group just launched
