we just listened to a news conference that took place within the past 45 minutes, san mateo county coroner's office, the coroner did confirm that 16-year-old passenger ye ming yuan did survive the asiana flight 214 crash but was killed later when one of the first responds, a fire department vehicle, ran her over, causing multiple blunt injuries. the fire chief, joanne hayes white, spoke offering condolences and apologize to the girl's family, offering to meet face to face if they so wished, adding that her and her colleagues are heartbroken, especially considering that they are in the business of saving lives. the chief confirmed the young girl was run over by specialized airport fire truck called an arf, which stands for airport rescue firefighting. they are still trying to figure out which one was specifically responsible for her death as there were many on scene that afternoon. these are the trucks that were spraying foam to put out the fire on that 777 airplane. the fire department believes ye ming yuan was covered in foam and like on the ground by the left wing when she was hit and killed. still trying to figure out whether that foam hid her from view.
