former minnesota governor tim pawlenty is out. michele bachmann topped the iowa straw poll leading the pack with 29% followed by texas represent ron paul. pawlenty came in third with 14%. but he says the ranking wasn't strong enough to keep him going in the race. so with pawlenty out, here's a look at who is in. perry, bachmann and paul are all in. so is mitt romney, newt gingrich, gary johnson, rick santorum, john hunts man, herman cain. the indiana state fair reopened today with a memorial service for the people killed after a stage collapsed during a violent storm over the weekend. as you can see in this video, a wind gust took down the stage saturday night minutes before the band sugar land was set to perform. people in the crowd rushed to the rescue trying to help those trapped under the stage. look at that come down. five people were killed. at least 40 others injured. police say the stage collapsed minutes after a warning to concert-goers about the storm. >>> protestors could disrupt the ride home for san francisco's subway

>> the motto of minnesota is minnesota nice, that was a little minnesota spice. look, congresswoman bachmann is from governor pawlenty's home state, she's under his skin because she's ahead in the polls. he's from neighboring minnesota, organized probably on the ground as well as if not better than anybody in iowa right now if you talk to the experts out there. governor pawlenty would like to win. he really needs to win. if he comes in second or third, it better be close to the top else the money will dry out. >> it's interesting to see sarah palin showing up trying to create a buzz in iowa, at a certain point, unless she's declared candidate, doesn't she start to look like she's just chasing cameras? >> reporter: sure. we may have passed that point, yes. listen, certainly that is already out there. she did the same thing a couple of months ago, sort of raining on mitt romney's announcement that he was going to run in new hampshire while she was taking a bus tour sort of up the east coast so this is the sort of thing that she's done. she does attract the cameras.

we get the job done for minnesota and more america.so if you look at my record in minnesota, you can see we took spending from historic highs to historic lows. we cut taxes in my state over eight years and did it -- we advanced the cause of life and traditional marriage in historic ways. we did public employee pension reform. before it was cool and popular to do it in the rest of the country. those kinds of results, not just talk, is what america needs now. i also want to tell you doing that in minnesota ising? that's very interesting and important to know. we need to not just preach to the choir and make sure we have a candidate who can win in places like kansas or oklahoma or some of the other great states in this country, alabama and georgia. he can come up to iowa and wisconsin and pennsylvania and take the conservative message and urgeos to win and get this country back. i won and got re-elected in one of the most difficult states to be a republican, minnesota, and i'll carry those states as a candidate for president. is that what's happening in minnesota?that's the same exact picture that you're seeing in minnesota. we had come back from an 8.5% unemployment rate in april of 2009 and had gotten all the way down a 6.5% unemployment rate in april and from there it started ticking up again. it certainly didn't help that we ended up having a three-week state shutdown, state government shutdown that displaced 22,000 state workers, plus another 3,000 state chiropractor employees. and so you have a big hit that's about to come out tomorrow. we're expected to get the unemployment rate for july for the state and it's expected to go up as far as... possibly as much as a percentage point. so we're hurting quite a bit. >> brown: and dee depass, what kind of industries are most affected here? >> well, our housing industry was dramatically impacted. it sort of started, obviously, the recession in this state. we've got large window manufacturing here in minnesota. anderson windows is based here, marvin windows is based here. we have something called
