mireya villarreal is in dallas where a winter storm warning is in effect. , mireya. >> reporter: hey, good morning, michael. the roadways behind me are quiet, so drivers are heeding the warning as sleet is starting to come down in this area. as you just mentioned there is now a winter storm warning that has been extended to thursday. that means these conditions are not expected to let up. a half inch to an inch of ice is expected to accumulate throughout the day causing big worries about the roadways and the power grid. overnight across texas, treacherous driving conditions. several semi trucks sliding and colliding into each other shutting down part of the highway. drivers spinning, and struggling to gain traction. despite caution signs, this red pickup flying down the road then sliding off. that driver just barely able to get it back under control. the slick icy conditions leading to cars losing control and crashing. this white pickup getting off an exit ramp sliding down it sideways and this sports car skidding luckily coming to a stop before crashing, an
