nine dead, 25 missing. now these are pictures on social media as they were coming across this morning. you heard from the scene that firefighters arrived to see a big crowd out there. you can see from this post that there were a lot of people standing outside waiting for answers and right now, we're still waiting for quite a few answers as we try to figure out how this fire started and if there are any more victims inside. a large portion of the building remains to be searched. >> we heard from the oakland fire department a few minutes ago, a makeshift stairway may have been part of the problem for going into and out of the building for a lot of concert- goers and they are not sure if it was a rave or just a big party but there was a band playing there last night. they couldn't hear smoke alarms when they arrived. they don't believe there was sprinkler suppression system in the building which is basically a big warehouse, an artist enclave where this fire engulfed around 11:30 last night. >> there were fire
