missouri farmers, i understand it, sell about a third of their eggs for california. farmers to comply with the law. how fair is that? >> well, it's very fair because what california has done is said that anybody that wants to sell eggs in our state has to meet these minimal hen housing standards. these are standards passed for human health and safety and also for animal welfare. and a state's right to do that has been upseld ti selheld time again. recently under litigation it was upheld. so we're not requiring anything different that isn't required of california's own egg producers. that is fair. >> does it put california farmers at all at a disadvantage with egg farmers in other states by having to shell out money more to expand their cages? >> no, it's actually the ob sit. what would put them at a disadvantage is if missouri were to shall how prevail, i don't position they will, in this lawsuit which would create a double standard. it would say that california can require these standards of its own egg producer, but out of state who don't want for set high standard

missouri's state supreme court in 2006 struck down a voter i.d. law and the u.s.he end of january, they thought they fixed the objectionable issues to receive the new i.d.s without cost. the missouri secretary of state says it could keep hundreds of thousands of current ves dents from voting. joining me is jason candor, secretary of state for the show me state. given this insistence, i assume there must be a serious problem with voter fraud in your state. can you tell me what you have encountered as secretary of state? >> the sponsors of this legislation say it's targeted voter impersonation fraud which is something we haven't had in missouri. so this would be the most extreme law in the entire country if it were passed. 220,000 registered voters could be disenfranchised. even calling it a photo identification law i think underplays it. it requires a very specific form of identification. as you mention, student i.d.s wouldn't be good enough, voter identification card you receive in the mail wouldn't be good enough, expired driver's license, a military i.d. that's

the state of missouri was scheduled to execute herbert small on tuesday of last week.r state while the full court ruled on two petitions followed by small's defense lawyers. the next day, the supreme court vacated the stay and the stay of a lower court ruling which allowed the state of missouri to to carry out the execution. his lawyer filed another appeal arguing the drugs being used in the execution were untested and could cause pain and suffering. while still waiting for the supreme court decision, the state of missouri executed herbert smalls just after 10:00 p.m. that same night. four minutes after he was pronounced dead, the supreme court denied his final appeal. joining me now for an exclusive interview is the defense attorney for herbert smalls. i have to say, i'm surprised that an excuse would go forward while flfs any form of an appeal hundred dollaring. is this something that's common? do you have to have a formal stay of execution in order to delay these things? >> well, law yens, it wasn't simply an appeal or a complaint lodged in any court. it was an exec

kelly, farmington, missouri, works at the h.r. department, the human resources department at a bank. she feels that healthy groups will be paying more for insurance because of a.c.a. and because of the expanded coverage. her department's received many questions, she says, about health care coverage that feels limited in how much they can really tell anybody because they don't know how the new law is going to apply. the law of unintended consequences continues to be the law that applies here. missourians and people all over the country are contacting us and asking how much damage we're willing to do to the health care system that was working to get more people included in that system. there were ways to do this that every one of which i believe was legislatively proposed in 2009. small changes that would have made a big difference in a health care system that was working for people who were in that system. we need to figure out the few ways to get more people in that system. instead, we have had dramatic impact on the best health c
