we have mist flying around. temperatures in the low 50s. low clouds spilling over to oakland as well. cool temperatures low 50s there too. into san jose we've got the low clouds and southeast breeze coming up out of morgan hill and gilroy this morning. kind of a cool air pattern across the santa clara valley this morning. not as warm as the last few days. the sea breeze is punching all of the way into fairfield reaching livermore and these wind speeds will pick up during the afternoon. if winds are picking up, this is great news for air quality. green across the board. good air quality for outdoor plans through the afternoon. speaking of outdoor plans catching the giants game versus mets coming up at 6:00 tonight game time just after 6:00, take the jacket with you. it will be cool. we expect first pitch weather pretty close to 59 degrees. mid 50s as we go through the game. that will keep folks from new york feeling quite chilly as they visit the bay area. high clouds well off to the east. no storm systems to talk about around the bay area.

it's not a little mist. it's adding up couple one- hundredths. south san francisco, san bruno, that's a gray yucky sky right there. temperatures will be really cool. now temperatures they've been coming down inland. they came down a couple days ago on the coast. they settled in the 50s there. fog, drizzle, cool, breezy to windy inland. extremely cool for july. fog, sun and wind. slightly warmer inland on the weekend but not a big jump up. temperatures i think will just recover and get back into the 80s. by the coast i still think 50s and 60s. system moved into the pacific northwest actually settled into oregon and the southern end of that has just been sweeping in low clouds. you can see how they bank up. they'll be a decrease in the low cloud deck because it's getting so cool aloft and also the inland temperatures have been plunging there's really not a lot to support it but it's still there. and every wind direction is almost out of the west or southwest. the delta breeze howling all the way to sacramento. two 60s, san jose and san jose state.

bringing a little bit of mist and drizzle in the bay and coast, as well.mer tomorrow afternoon and after that get ready for a cooldown as we head into the first part of our workweek. is expected in antioch. livermore and fog and low clouds mist and drizzle for half moon bay. 50 for san francisco, napa as well as oakland and san jose, 54 degrees. the setup tomorrow, high pressure will be with us for one more day. we'll look for slightly warmer temperatures but as we head into sunday night and monday, trough of low pressure will start to push in. behind this, a pool of cooler air. that is what is going to cool us down as we head into monday and tuesday. temperatures on those two days especially inland well below where we should be for this time of the year. >> cloudy conditions, the drizzle right near the coast. it burns back to the coast a little sooner. we'll break out to nor sunshine. even the coast will see pockets of sun. look for upper 50s, near 60 degrees. 70s across much of the barrier and north bay we'll look to for temperatures in the mid to upper

the mist and drive, high clouds will move in tomorrow.have some very heavy sierra storms forming right now, and those will continue to plague the sierra for at least the next couple of days. you can see on live doppler 7 hd what i'm talking about. numerous lightning strikes in the last few hours. most of this rain activity is starting to die down a little bit. still staying a little toward the east of south lake tahoe. tomorrow, though, if you have plans heading there, be advised that all of this will start to migrate more toward the west, and could possibly even bring some of those cumulus clouds toward extreme east and south bay locations right here in the bay area. we'll hold off on saying there will be thunderstorm activity. even yosemite village, some of those isolated thunderstorms plaguing that area. you can see the lightning strikes starting to to die down a bit. for the bay area, low clouds and fog were back to the coast. that's why we saw sunshine inland. coastside tonight, all of that will filter back inland. antioch 59. much o

i noticed some mist as i was coming in this morning. how's the commute? >>> well, dave and pam, the roads are wet. that will make you know for a slower commute if you are driving in many areas especially west of the bay bridge or the west bay i guess. this is a look at the golden gate bridge where we have some wet roads and some fog as steve has been mentioning. it is misty in many areas. san francisco wet roads as well and some windshield wipers you might need them in parts of san mateo county, daly city, just along skyline there. just give yourself an extra few minutes. kind of weird for summer. actually maybe not weird. the fog westbound bay bridge as you come up to the toll plaza it looks okay. lower deck of the bay bridge they've cleared that road work. and in the south bay this is a nice look at 280 right through downtown. the traffic moves well. we just checked in with chp in the south bay and there's nothing going on when it comes to reported collisions or stalled vehicles. 5:08. let's go to steve. >>> little shout out there for west lake and d.c.

we'll look for mist and drizzle around oakland, 55. drizzle for san francisco, 54. napa,' degrees.is a look of low pressure. trough is passing north of the bay area. here we are and here is this area of low pressure. as it continues to push on towards the east, it will bring us a little bit more in the way of a cooler air mass. look for temperatures to remain somewhat below normal. temperatures for this time of the year. right through tuesday. by wednesday, thursday and friday, high pressure will build back in and that will result in temperatures, especially in the east bay, climbing back to the 90s. we start off tomorrow morning, 5:00 a.m. with the low clouds and fog spinning out to the east. then it slowly begins to burn back to the coast around lunchtime. we'll keep pockets of fog right near the coast. i want to point out in the north bay, you are going to get in more of a northerly wind component. more clearing there. 60s there, 70s around the bay and touching mid to low 80s, extreme east bay communities. 75 in cupertino. san jose 76. we'll keep the mid to low 60s at the coast.
