nbc 10's mitch blacher live at the demonstration. set the scene for us where you are. >> reporter: we are in north philadelphia on erie and broad street, where a small but loud group of peaceful protesters has been out here. they are obviously honoring michael brown. they rls out here honoring many women who have been victims of what they call police brutality. they are in the process of just getting started at this point. we have heard a lot of horns honking, a lot of people supporting this group of a little bit more than a dozen people who are at erie and broad street. again, horns honking and we actually have seen more police officers as you can see across the street and down the street than protesters but these people are making their voices heard as we spoke with an event organizer earlier today. >> we are just coming together to stand in solidarity with the ferguson action and to also just let the public know that we are here, let the public officials know that we are here and that this movement is not something in philadelphia
