interestingly, they chose mitchell again from texas previously. kansas city does local matter. >> it does on it. it does, it does. it's what we have here. is it local people in oakland are saying it's not so much that you have to be from here, but you have to understand what's here. you have to know the various components of oakland, which is a very diverse political city. you have some people that are very strong right now on law and order and others that are saying no reform is to is a top priority. so you walk into that, it's a challenging position and on top of that, you have a federal judge overlooking you, your every move as well. and you wonder you're an outsider, right. but aside from that it's a great opportunity. at least that's what former police chief anne kirkpatrick told me recently is that she would tell anybody applying for the job two things. it's a great opportunity, but you better have your bags packed, because after two years, there's a question of whether you're going to be there for the third. but it's a it's a challenge. it'
