he explains mlb teams lease expires at the end of 2024. and if they want to extend it, the city of oakland and alameda county would have to vote in favor to allow them to do that. right now the a's are paying 1.0. 25 million dollars every year to lease the stadium. and that's not enough. he says to cover the cost to operate repair and maintain it. they also still have 3 payments of 15 million dollars. each do until 2026. and if they leave before that, they might have to pay out the entire him out immediately. and as far as what we could see replacing the a's at the coliseum. here's a possibility, including hosting the oakland roots soccer team or a wnba team. >> my hope is that the a's since they're buying county's portion would become more co-operative in the'r conversations with the to support a new team group. and you have to work and support and that and take possession of the entire a parcel or the entire property and then be able to develop according to specific which would include sports entertainment, retail, etcetera. >> miley say
