the mobile world congress. how has the reception been among your friends in the mobile industry?i don't think they are my former friends. what's interesting is how anxious everybody is to learn exactly what the rules are about and how we structured them in such a way that they are built on the mobile model. we built them around what has worked for the last 22 years in terms of regulating the wireless industry in the united states so we could make sure there was adequate investment that would continue to come as a result of the fact that there's no rate regulation, no terrifying in those traditional kinds of monopoly regulations you heard so much about during the debate. the feeling i'm getting here is that they are saying as i understand it better, it is significant. sprint has come out and said they supported. t-mobile says they will continue investing under this. google fiber says even though we are now a title ii common carrier, we will continue to investigate the small wireless carriers. all and on and on, there has been a list of people who have said the more we get past the

the mobile world congress in barcelona, here is technology editor. >> mobile phone makers would like us to believe the launch of every handset is an occasion of great significance. it's no exception in barcelona, with the new galaxy vi. it's the largest maker of handsets samsung, over 300 million. this is a top model to go head to head with the apple iphone 6. it is also in trouble. it had a 34% share of the global market at the end of 2014 but it has fallen to 24%. much of that market share has been lost to the low end of the mark, cheap handsets and much of that loss has been to new fast-growing chinese companies, len ovo, and the new kid on the block show me. all have been growing fast. showme launched a phone four years ago, selling it online and is understood to make a tiny profit margin on each phone, but packs the handset with features reserved for more expensive models. last year it sold more than 60 million handsets making it the sixth biggest mobile phone maker. globally around 2 billion smart sets are being made. it's increased to 4 billion, with so many buying new handset

charlie: if mobile was a huge catalyst, what is the next huge catalyst?: i think there are a bunch of things impacting our customers. some which we relate to and some of which are just going to change their business models. certainly, artificial intelligence is a conversation going on in the valley. a lot of companies are wondering, what will a.i. mean to my business question mark health care? financial services? advanced automation that is emerging. self driving cars. the ability to have automated driving. that is going to change the car industry and the electronics markets. what you can now do with large amount of data. it is called big data in our industry. how is data going to change health care? where we are able to deliver better medicine, better predictive services and outcomes? there is no reason you should visit a doctor where you are not looking at a large amount of data applied specifically to your problem. every doctor and physician and nurse is not using a wealth of data to drive the decisions they are using to interact with you. you do not h
