moderna is feeling for filing for full approval for its covid vaccine. now, if the fda approves that requests the drug company, they're going to be able to market the shot directly to consumers. moderna currently has an emergency use authorization status for the vaccine. a large scale studies of moderna's shot have been ongoing and the they're going to use data from the studies when making that decision. it's more than a 124 million doses of moderna vaccines that have been given to adults here in the united states. moderna is also seeking emergency approval to vaccinate kids 12 to 17 years old after studies have shown the vaccine is safe for that age group as well. the c e o. of moderna and pfizer's say they're working on booster shots for the vaccines. but health experts say there's not much evidence that they're necessary, at least at this point. however, that could change if new variants emerge that can be controlled by the current vaccines. >> we might eventually need to have a another vaccine and the additional vaccine to cover variants that are cov
