look at that longer band of showers that are stretching all the way from east of modesto through tracy through san ramon. and along the 680 corridor. there are a few showers. if you are under the influence, there could be showers and some are moving in over lovers point. that is pretty much spelled out in the future cast. which shows sprinkles coming in later tonight. but certainly some showers and if you are coming down pretty good out in parts of the far east bay. we show mount diablo with threatening clouds above. in san francisco, with a backdrop of a curtain of clouds. right now the numbers are mostly in the 60s. livermore at 59. santa rosa at 57. it's coming from that low that is beginning to push ashore right over big sur. which picked up 1800s of an inch of rain today. as the lower purchase, so do shower chances. it will be breezy and they get rain in the southland over the next 18 hours. pollen this week is not bad. here is what we are doing tonight. we have increasing clouds and a chance of showers overnight. there could be a thundershower as well. he will be cool and breezy

we see sacramento, stockton, modesto, so you can get an idea that were this to be done in a wider scalee out. then, we go to -- closer into the bay area, and we see that a lot of the interviewees came out of san francisco. we spoke with one interviewee who came from antioch. because -- she lived there because it was cheaper, and she had the caveat that even though she drives into the city to get better -- to get better wages, etc., to get better rides, to get more rides, the problem was that she would have nothing going back. she would have to be using her own gas basically to be going back because usually, you don't end up getting riders the other way, so that's another thing that ends up being an issue for these people living further out. here -- through mapline, we were able to get some of the information of just the general -- the general demographics for the areas, and through that, we were able to get an idea of the income inequality that takes place in the bay area counties. alameda, contra costa, had the largest amount of drivers driving into san francisco. there was a large amo

modesto, almost out into livermore valley.aring, if you are in livermore or out toward america, you might be hearing some thunder, perhaps. you go to san francisco airport and you see a little fog on the san bruno mountain. that is an indication of coastal fog forming tonight, which would make sense. we have decent high pressure over us, but these clouds are coming from the other direction. high pressure exists, that's why the fog can form, but the clouds will stick around, pretty much right through the weekend for the most part. sunday there is that chance of a shower or something of that nature by sunday afternoon. i am not changing my plan sunday. i know a lot of folks have big holiday weekend plans. there is tomorrow morning, there is tomorrow afternoon. that looks good. here is saturday morning, you see clouds hanging out. then on sunday, this system comes down through the valley. we are kind of on the weak side of the dynamics of this system. the strong side will be over the sierra nevada. a few scattered showers possibl

just east of modesto, look at these lightning pops.in the central valley, near patterson. a look at a funnel cloud, i didn't get a confirmation. around the bay area, mild to light showers. scattered showers near clayton and concord. the rainfall amount, it is raining pretty hard, almost half an inch an hour. and some of those cells it is going off. they are widely scattered, dying down and not as robust as they were two or three hours ago. all of this activity or most of the activity moves into the hills, which will soon take us out of the occasion for showers. you see a jet taking off at sfo. you see the cloud cover and there will be a little bit of clouds tonight. maybe as julie pointed out, a slight chance of a sprinkle, but most of it is dying down as we go into the evening hours. the story is the storm surge, which has been, really in my mind, probably unprecedented. i can't remember amy where we had a run like this in terms of heavy rainfall of almost half a again on saturday, rthern count into sunday morning. saturday afternoon
