good evening, i'm juliette >>> waiting at the historic solar airplane landing about to arrive at moffett field as part of the full -- trip around the world. good evening, juliette goodrich pierce >> and i'm brian hackney. the solar impulse 2 has put on quite a show flying over san francisco this afternoon and is close to landing in mountain view. right now crews are on the ground at moffett field getting ready for the arrival, preparing an inflatable hangar. the big problem tonight, the wind part at the moment, pilots are on the ground monitoring the wind. the wind is out of the northwest at 7 miles per hour, that's where the landing has been delayed since the plane appeared over the golden gate this afternoon. you are looking at life feet out of the cockpit and also from the ground as crews are awaiting the landing of the solar impulse 2, after a two day, 26 my hundred mile trip from hawaii. -- to be 600 mile trip from hawaii. it could land anywhere from now until 6 o'clock in the morning. hundreds are learning the strip at moffett field, maria medina has more on why this is significant
