as i widen out, i want to show you, look at these temperatures. 80s here. 51 in chicago. 52 in des moines. there's a lot of cold air lurking. a frontal boundary is driving south and east. that's why we have all these clouds, cool temps. our hot air is going to be replaced by cooler temperatures overnight tonight into tomorrow. so we're out ahead of this cold front. it's warm, it's humid. we're going to pop some showers and storms this afternoon. futurecast keeping the best chances south of i-66 here in toward luray, let's say, by about 3:00. isolated showers and storms will still be possible north of town, but the heaviest activity does appear it's going to be south. essentially colonial beach, dahlgren as we head toward 5:30 into charles county, southern maryland. the heavier storms pulling across there 7:00, 8:00. isolated shower can't be ruled out through 7:30 or 8:00 but most of take activity by 8:00. east of i-95 and pulling southeast with some cooler air building in tonight into tomorrow. tomorrow's highs will struggle to get out of the 70s to around 80 after being close to 90 today
