we're really talking about the omaha area to des moines. the blue on the map shows you where it's snowing. where it's white inside the blue is where it's snowing hard. so we've got a really, you know, pretty good snowstorm going under way right now, des moines to ames, also into areas right around omaha. light snow from minneapolis to duluth. and when you factor in the winds, and it's blowing and drifting, it's hard to even measure how deep the snow is. right now, 39-mile-per-hour wind gusts in des moines, 41 in omaha. kansas city's now picking up to 35-mile-per-hour winds. so, it's very dangerous driving conditions today, especially this morning in southern minnesota and iowa. maybe an additional 1 to 2 inches in areas in the midwest. and then we track this storm through the weekend. it looks like the mountainous areas of west virginia, also upstate new york, the white and the green mountains, some areas of the berkshires are going to get a decent amount of snow. that's going to be friday night and saturday. just rain from boston to hartfo
