you see the plume of moisture just to the south of that low. all of that moisture is going to move into the way area and brig bring us soak rain showers. but before that happens the winds are going to increase. early in the morning, 7:00 generally light in nature. but as the cold front gets closer monday afternoon and evening, wind gusts 25 to 35 miles per hour out of the south. to future weather we go. monday morning early on we will have lots of clouds. overcast skies by 5:00 in the morning. the rainerally offshore. in the evening hours you notice the rain entering the north bay first. 9:00 soak showers in cloverdale, santa rosa and the system dives south. by midnight early tuesday morning it's moving through the heart of the bay area. you do notice a strong line of showers. not unlikely we will hear thunder, could even have small hail. it all pushes to the east early tuesday morning to bring significant snow to the sierras. in terms of rainfall, the north bay has a very good shot of seeing a lot of locations over and into rain. around the he

what that means is we have a lot of moisture moving into the area. the clouds are expanding very quickly. when that happens, it opens the potential for strong thunderstorms. that's what happened on sunday. we had around 18 reports of tornadoes around the southern plains. and that system is continuing to push to the east and in addition to that we have another low pressure system to the south and that's feeding in the moisture and cold air. that combination opening the possibility of more severe weather as we go into monday. look at this outlook as e we go throughout monday the orange areas down to the coast of mississippi and louisiana looking at enhanced risk for severe storms. the yellow areas extending into. alabama and down toward areas like houston. a slight risk for severe storms. now with these storms as we have been watching for the past couple of weeks because of the way that the weather is set up, a lot of warm moisture coming in. that collision is producing not only strong thunderstorms but also tornadoes are developing from this. we'll be

another storm is off the atlantic throwing moisture into new england. but it's the guy down south that will be the primary weather maker. ooymp@see it's coming out of alabama through georgia and the carolinas now, even to north florida see something showers. this is going to throw some moisture in the formts of clouds and -- form of clouds and even a couple of showers into the appalachians as we get into this evening, especid west of i- 816789 see at 3:00, maybe whitfield, going down that way. if you're taking a trip down 81, you'll run into some of that. western maryland, shenandoah valley tomorrow morning could have some showers. we could even see a few peeks of sun early but we'll be mostly cloudy tomorrow. by lunch time, looks like the bulk of the showers again along and west of the blue ridge but as we get into the afternoon, we'll have a better chance for some showers. we see the brightest colors, the heaviest rains. yeah, they're way out west over toward harrisonburg, up into areas north of cumberland toward bedford, pennsylvania as opposed to d.

storm scan three is showing signs of moisture. mostly not hitting ground locally but it is doing that further west you go just north of the ohio river. heavier rain band firing up in central indiana. we have some snow showers. nice cold core system here. so up through great lakes region we are seeing that chill settle in here and tech nickly you could call this a polar vortex. coal first dropping in. polar air no. chillier air absolute thely. we will see that drop on the thermometer in the wake of it. really for the next six to ten days or so, eastern half of the you had, end up below average. we are going to generally fall just below average as opposed to much below. where it looks like the core of the chill will settle in here it is primarily from central pennsylvania on westward and points south of that. regardless you will notice difference when you go out the door beyond tomorrow. and today, the chill that settles up for us here is going to come courtesy of the cold front that is crossing through with some gusty thunderstorms

so for now bulk of the moisture well off to the wells. right now really just finding hands full of showers at a very localized level here. but all of this is eventually going to move in, and we even have the potential for some localized severe weather later on today. so the afternoon early evening, would be the prime time for that. and it will be specially true for southeast most pennsylvania southern new jersey and in through delaware. now, we are primarily looking at this to be a gusty thunderstorm event with frequent lightning heavy downpours, almost definite with anything that fires up here. but, i have to tell you, there is at least a minor risk for us to even see a brief tornado spin up. it is a chance, not guarantee but something that we do want to mention. current winds speeds out of the southwest here, as high right now even at 20 miles per hour, sustained winds, no less aren't even your gusts so starting to pick up already, so the breeze is noticeable, make sure to secure those loose objects. if you are out and about maybe rakin
