and throughout the cajon pass, when you're leading into the san bernardino area out of the mojave desertmalibu a key area we'll keep an eye on as the relative humidity drops into the teens. this particular bird's eye view from sutro tower looking out towards san francisco. you can't see the fog there, but we do have visibility down to a half a mile now in santa rosa and also socked in around the bay bridge leading out of the golden gate bridge in the city of san francisco into the oakland area. so we'll wake up with areas of patchy fog tomorrow morning, then turning partly sunny and it's going to be windy. the winds do not rotate around to that offshore push until tuesday, and the winds are really going to flare up at that particular time. so here's the deal. we have this area of low pressure. we refer to it as an inside slider. once it settles in over the colorado rockies. and then we have the high pressure contributing to the warmer conditions between the two, a pressure gradient, and also that offshore component, as the winds are in a counterclockwise fashion, rotating around that are

well, think about this mojave desert. it's just, you know, a couple hundred miles away.ts as far as relative humidity is concerned. but because of the santa ana winds, it's just grabbing all that dry air mass and pushing it over here to the coastline. and you can feel it in your throat. my throat is extremely dry. then you toss in all the particles that are flying around with the air quality alert in effect for today for this particular area, and not only here, it's now a huge fire risk to the south of us in san diego county. in fact, overnight we had the paula fire break out. now, if you're not familiar with that, that's near paula mesa just off i-15. and then that fire did char 16 acres before firefighters were able to knock that down. then we hop on over to bonsall, which is just about 12 miles southeast of oceanside. that fire is not under control. so far, 80 acres have been consumed, and that fire is continuously out of control. we do have evacuation orders in that area as well as all schools are closed then. now let's hop on over to riverside county, the hemet area

desert. barstow. mojave. i know palm springs. the wind has picked up. mostly cloudy there, even into la. there's been some snow at big bear mountain, but it's really going to be about the wind once that system kind of settles in just to the west of la, there will be some roaring gusts down there. so that's going to play into their forecast not only today, but maybe two more episodes of this offshore breeze. mainly a lot of 50s here. half moon bay 57, berkeley 57 oakland 57. that's all because of this offshore breeze coming in out of the hills. alameda 59 degrees. a lot of 50s here, although if you don't get any breeze, you can drop down pretty fast into the low 40s. one observation there, walnut creek at 42, but 55 alamo and 55 in dublin. 30s up in the mountains. alturas is 39, yet it's 58 in san diego and 62 in santa barbara and palm springs. 66 so again, it's just a if you get the wind or you don't get that breeze. but southern california bracing for some strong wind and just nothing for us rain wise. i mean, we may be dry for two weeks here. it's kind of kind of the way it's looking h
