news 4's molette green joins us live from the scene. molette, what's going on? >> this is where it all started just hours ago. this white house behind me on the second floor. investigators, we can tell you, will be here in the coming hours to try to determine what caused this blaze. hard to believe there was a raging fire here just hours ago. four row homes impacted in all. smoke detectors alerted the folks inside the house where the flames coming from the second floor out on to the back alley to the porches back behind these row houses. children woke up sleeping adults in another home. a man who lived here for 30 years right next door says a neighbor called him to get out. >> my neighbor called me next door here at 205. he called me and told me, les, the house is on fire next to you. i got up, looked out and fire trucks everywhere. >> reporter: a bit of good news. some of the neighbors who were looking for their missing pets apparently found one, a cat, this morning. just a short while ago. eight people forced out in all. two firefighters injured. one suffering

molette green is live at the medical center station to tell us how it will impact your ride.ette, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you. service changes. they're coming in a matter of hours as metro gets ready to test out the new grouting process. if this fix-it plan works, metro says it could have long-term benefits for passengers on the red line. we all know water and electricity don't mix very well. in order to resolve the insulator problems, metro contractors will start drilling and drilling and then they will inject high into the tunnels. that means service changes for riders starting tonight at 9:00 p.m. with single tracking between friendship heights and medical center and then every weekend in july and the first week of august that suspends service on both tracks. something they have to deal with. >> why they do it when it can hurt you? i'm molette green.'m aaron gilchrist. in the news this morning, breaking news in prince george's county, a man is dead after an suv crashed with a csx train early this morning, it happened about 3:40 this beltsville. prince george's county police tell us that train's conductor and engineer both survived, no one else was on board. baltimore avenue is closed from powder mill road to naples avenue. >>> also in prince george's county list say a man hit by a car is in the hospital in critical condition, it happened just before midnight at pennsylvania avenue at brooks drive in suitland. prince george's county police say the driver did stay on the crash. >>> security is tight on the national mall for today's fourth of july celebration. the national independence day parade begins at 11:45 on constitution avenue northwest. a capitol fourth concert dwins at 8:00 become on the west front of the capital and at 9:09 p.m. the fireworks show is set to start. >>> metro is the way to go, running until midnight tonight

molette green is showing you where you will want to slow down some prince george's county.ak you have if you have a lead foot. if you're on the beltway, in north print georges county, you need to look alive for the work zone and the new enforcement on speeders. the post the speed limit is 55 miles per hour. if you go 12 miles per hour or more above that, you're going to get a warning in the mail. this is happening today for the next three week, the speed enforcement, and then you're going to get the the mail august 7th. that's a $40 ticket if you're call speeding, 12 miles per hour more, and all this was designed for safety. maryland state highway saying when you come in those work zones where there are speed barrels, where there are narrowed lanes, and whether workers in many cases when an accident happens, it's the drivers who get hurt. in many cases the workers are not hurt, but it's a safety issue that we're talking about, you need to be aware when you're in this area near suitland road. that's the latest from along the beltway, back to you. >> 11:3123 you drive or take

molette green is live at reagan national airport with a why it's not just a matter of comfort.molette, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you guys. let's admit it. we're all a little bit bigger than we used to be, right? and once you get on the airplane and the seats are smaller, they are a lot smaller than they used to be. the smaller seats equate to less safe experience on the airplane. that is what a d.c. federal appeals court ordered the faa to look at. policies over all of this. a passenger's rights group has closely argued very hard that this could create an emergency situation if you're trying to evacuate or a safety health issue such as blood clots. even though the airline industry maintains the seats meet all of the safety standards. >> the seats are too -- i'm not looking forward to it. probab g out of it. let's pray i don't have to do it. >> reporter: we're looking at passengers making their way through the tsa check here. the ruling does not force the faa to set a minimum seat standard but it does force the faa to come up with a better explanation as to why
