to get more information, about that, we go to lieutenant chris monahan with the san jose police department. and pretty serious injuries. tell me about what happened to these people setting off illegal fireworks. >> we had two people attend a neighborhood fireworks show. and during the course of that show, some fireworks went off, accidentally. and unbeknownst to the two people standing close to the fireworks, the fireworks were launched, and they became injured as a result of that, and the launch of the fireworks. how serious are the injuries. one person is in critical condition at a local hospital in san jose, with what i would consider very serious injuries. the second person that was injured now is out of critical condition and we expect him to be released soon. >> what happened to the most critical one? >> the most critical person that was injured at this fireworks show suffered a hearing loss. both ears. we believe that both eardrums have been popped and that person may have permanent hearing loss. also, had some injuries to the eye. we believe may have lost an eye. and thin suffered
