monique braxton is live in the olney section of philadelphia now. monique? >> reporter: we arrived here 15 minutes ago and this is what we found. a ford escape overturned in the middle of the block. we are at the intersection of fisher and front. this is a major thoroughfare for folks headed to work this morning. i just spoke to police and they said the drivers in their early 20s. the car overturned after hitting the parked car, the nissan you see here to the left on the screen. they say that she has been taken to einstein medical center to be evaluated. when i asked what was the cause of the accident the police told us they are still investigating. but if you zoom in a little bit, my photographer here is showing you that a lot of debris has come from inside the ford escape. there is a coffee cup there, i see one of her shoes there, i see a couple of bottles of -- empty bottles of gatorade and orange juice. so no doubt this investigation is still underway but i can tell you that this part of fisher is on lockdown by police while the investigation continues.

our monique braxton is live on scene where bullet casings litter the ground. monique, what can you tell us? >> reporter: hi i arrived here just before the top of the hour. i've had a chance to talk to both crime scene investigators as well as detectives. they tell us about 2:30 this morning, there was gunfire here in the middle of the 2700 block of latona. they say two men have passed away. according to what we were able to notice at the scene, there were about nine markings for shell casings. i did ask what type of weapons they believe were used. i was told that a .9-millimeter gun, at least one, was used in the double shooting. it happened here in the middle of the street. investigators have just cleared the scene. the forensic unit has just departed the scene. but they tell us at this point, there is no suspect in custody. so they will be scouring the area looking for surveillance video cameras. they'll also be talking to any witnesses who heard and saw what happened here at about 2:30 this morning. but for now, two men are dead. both 23 years of age. shot
