monique braxton joins us live in morris -- in norristown. bring us up to date. >> reporter: it's a saga that no doubt has graped national headlines. here attorney general kathleen kane was charged with perjury, her law license has been temporarily suspended and now a state senate committee wants her to appear for a full senate hearing. state senators could vote as early as today whether to start a process that could lead to the removal of the first woman and democrat attorney general. ultimately, a two-thirds senate majority vote would remove kane. for her part, kane has said the majority of her work is done is administrative and ministerial. she also says she anticipates being able to carry out 98% of her duties without the help of others. since the temporary suspension of her law license, duties that require a license have been delegated to kane's deputies. last month a senate committee examining her ability to stay in office with a suspended license questioned those top deputies. one sticking point senators say is what happens when a judg

nbc 10's monique braxton is live in north philadelphia and monique, what are police saying about all of this at this point? >> reporter: at this point no motive is known but i can tell you that three gun shot victims are recovering here at temple university hospital. one of them is in critical condition, the other two in stable condition. overnight police say there have been reviewing surveillance videotape recorded in the 2800 block of north flaunton street. when police were call they had skoofrd 20-year-old male shot in the back, a 21-year-old female shot in the leg and a 36-year-old male shot twice in the thigh. after combing the scene the forensic unit found 15 shell casings they believe came from semi-automatic guns. >> the three victims were shot by two males, both wearing masks, and wearing dark colored clothing. they fled on foot in an unknown direction. and possibly got into a vehicle. police did stop a vehicle that was leaving the scene from the area about a block away and they are holding that vehicle and a female driver. >> we've also learned the area was part of a drug s

nbc 10's monique braxton is live for us at central detectives in center city with more. monique, what with k you tell us? >> reporter: i can tell you that 26-year-old kyle stevens is here inside being interviewed by detectives in the central division. they tell us he was brought in about two hours ago and arrested. here's what police sources also tell me. stevens was recognized by an employee of allied security at the intersection of allegheny and broad. that security guard called 911. temple police responded, picked up stevens and brought him to central detectives. just moments ago, another temple police officer arrived with what appeared to be stevens' belongings. now, we also have surveillance videotape to show you. police believe this is stevens. they say he is responsible for the two attacks just blocks apart that occurred in a short time span yesterday morning. they say about 5:30 a temple university student who didn't want to be identified but we did talk to him and he told us he suffered injuries to his wrist and side while jogging. he says he was slashed with a t

nbc 10 monique braxton is live. what are we hearing from cosby's accuser? >> good morning, tracy. i can tell you the comedian father figure is waking up this morning facing a felony sexual assault charge. our camera was rolling when cosby arrived in court. you see him appearing frail, carrying a cane and tripping as we headed into court in elkins park. he declined comment. police are talking. they tell us in 2004, andrea constand was assaulted after he gave her pills. he later told the court for benedryl. constand reported the alleged crime to police in canada who contacted pennsylvania authorities in 2005. at the time prosecutors elected not to go forward with the case saying the evidence was insufficient. it was only after court records from the victim's civil suit became public in july and dozens of other women came forward. investigators then reopened the case. >> reopened this case was our duty as law enforcement officers with a foreign obligation to uphold our constitution and to uphold the law. >> cosby's bail is set at $1 million. he faces a decade in prison if convicted.

monique braxton is live in norristown to explain. >> reporter: rosemary, we're outside the courthouse where kathleen kane will fight the perjury charges against her. but a different battle looms on the horizon up in harrisburg. kane is accused of leaking grand jury material to a philadelphia newspaper, then lying about it. today, state senators will vote on whether to start a process that could lead to her removal as the first democrat and female a.g., ultimately a two-thirds senate majority vote would be necessary to remove kane. kane calls the majority of-er work administrative. she anticipates being able to carry out about 98% of her duties without the help of others. but since the temporary suspension of her law license, duties that require a license have been delegated to kane's deputies. last month a committee examining her ability to stay in office with a suspended license questioned what happens when a judge might dismiss a case on the grounds that the office of the attorney general lacks -- the committee decided this must be addressed by the pennsylvania supreme court. they a
