police say the woman was walking on monroe street in the mount pleasant area around 3:30 sunday morninger into a white work van. two other men who were inside the van assaulted her and stole several personal items. then, they threw the woman out of the van in the woodley park area. anyone with information should contact police. all 22 people are safe this morning, after the sailboats they were in overturned, and they ended up in the water. it happened yesterday during a race in the severn river, near annapolis. 15 sailboats capsized, when the wind picked up without warning.. gusting up to 40 miles per hour. the water temperature was in the forties. people in other boats rescued the victims. so did the anne arundel county and naval academy fire departments, the coast guard, and natural resources police. the response was so quick, no one required medical treatment. several sailboats have not been recovered. the coast guard will help find them today. in these days before christmas, some people are shopping in a place that could use some hel several businesses are back open in ellicott city
