investigators believe they are using credit cards they stole from a home on monroe street last month. break in happened between 9:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on may 29th and the credit cards were used at this clothing store on georgia video. if you recognize people in the surveillance video, call d.c. police. >>> d.c. police are trying to find out if two home invasions within an hour of each other are linked. first happened on north capitol street in northeast around 3:00 yesterday morning. two men broke into a home. the owner picked up ankle weights and yelled he was coming to get them. they escaped through a basement door. an hour later a couple woke to two men in their bedroom. one with a knife. the other with a gun. they took money, iphones and laptops and then one of the men tried to rape the woman. there was a struggle and a shot was fired. no one was hit. >> in both cases at least one of the suspects had a knife so they're similar enough in location and time frame and area that we are looking at them. we don't know for sure if they are linked or not but we believe there's a possibili
