we have thunderstorms popping up just off the coastline of monterey.s we look over towards the sierra, it was really lighting up here not that long ago. north of i-80, near areas of donner pass and then over towards it looked like yosemite, as well as mammoth lakes getting into the futurecast model for you, rolling into the overnight hours. and tomorrow morning, this will actually be our best opportunity at seeing the scattered showers and the thunder storms later tonight into tomorrow morning. we could have some on the morning commute as the timestamp reads a 7 a.m. and then by noontime 1:00, it pushes through and we're left with, well, blue skies and sunshine. but look what is coming our way. areas over the sierra seeing the scattered showers as well as the thunderstorms and that wraparound moisture just continuing to funnel in like this. so into the afternoon, about 8:00 or so, right about sunset, another round of cloudy skies. the possibility of showers as well as the risk of thunderstorms. if you do experience a thunderstorm, see the lightning her

an emergency proclamation in monterey county has been extended for 60 days. the proclamation was first passed in march after a series of winter storms. it allows the county administrator to enter into certain contracts without board approval and also to continue to seek state and federal assistance. monterey county is saying several millions of dollars worth of property damage and roughly $600 million in agriculture losses. a former san francisco hotel will now become a permanent shelter for homeless families. supervisor dean preston says saint anthony's will buy the 59 unit oasis inn on franklin street and eddy. it was converted to use as a shelter for families during the pandemic. but the owner decided to sell, putting the shelter in jeopardy. under the agreement, the nonprofit providence foundation will continue to operate it, preston said on twitter, quote, words cannot describe the joy i feel with this news. the oasis has saved lives and provided dignity for respect, security, care to vulnerable san franciscans. providence has done an incredible job crea
