. >>> a montgomery county school is in mourning. the principal died before the start of a new year. news4's zachary kiesch is at the school this morning. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, erika. this news came as a complete shock yesterday. it was at the end of last year that this school was reeling after the death of two students and it was their rock, their leader, dr. doran, who was here to speak with then and then to find out two weeks before the school year starts that it's a really unfortunate situation. police say they found dr. doran at his home in bethesda. he was 64 years old. they believe he died of natural causes. he was a fierce advocate of the students here and he rose when things got tough in the face of tragedy. here's the spokesperson for montgomery county public schools. >> i think if you saw michael then too, you will see what kind of principal he was. he knew every kid, he would his put his arms around the kid. he'd help them grieve but he also wanted them to learn from a tragedy. >> now, counselors will be here at the school from 9:00 to 2:00 both today a

the national weather service issued flash flood warnings for this area and mainy montgomery to bucksnty and includes part of chester, lehigh valley, war chester, lower salford, upper dublin. this area seeing flash flooding and will continue until 3:00 in the morning this is the line i'm talking about. stormtracker 6 double scan. this strengthens over the past 30 minutes. 36 lightning strikes and moving from malvern across 202 through 422 and across the blue route headed to 309. it's not moving quickly. it's moving at about 10 miles an hour. so that's why it's dropping so much rain in a short period of time. now this is another view on double scan live that shows how much rain has fallen and we have been seeing a pretty widespread area of about 3" of rain and parts of berks county and some areas even reporting close to 5" of rain. so because of that, there is a problem of additional flash flooding overnight. good news is that rain will be exiting by dawn and humidity dropping substantially and more details on that and what it means for the the weekend in the accuweather forecast. moni

, greg. >> reporter: this hearing is still going on here in the montgomery county courthouse. it began around 1:30 this afternoon. as you mentioned the state is making its case against our state's top prosecutor, attorney yen kathleen kane and judge could deciding whether or not kane could face a jury. attorney general kathleen kane is charged with leaking grand jury material to the press and lying bit under oath. prosecutors also say that she asked to raise to legally look in the ensuing investigation. today's hearing started shortly after 1:00 and so far state has called two witnesses to testify. first, davis the special agent in charge of the kane's only boro of special investigation testified that kane had the only copy of the leak grand jury transcript shortly before a newspaper article release aid piece containing that private information. the second person to testify, a detective with the montgomery county district attorneys office, explains some of the investigation that led to kane being charged with perjury and obstruction of justice. that detective read from testimo

montgomery county's top prosecutor just made the announcement in norristown and john rawlins is there with more details on the case against kane. >> reporter: well, crime and a coverup, that is the alligation it is alleged that the attorney general is at the center of a conspiracy and the attorney general was behind it. the case was announced by the da in the last hour. >> this team determined that attorney general, kathleen kane deviced a scheme to leak confidential information and secret grand jury materials direct books directly to political operatives in the hopes of embarrassing whom she believed made her look bad. >> she says it's a revenge plot because of bad press that embarrassed kane. >> these facts exposed by the evidence we gathered and in the attorney general's own word this is war. this was her war based on the evidence conducted without regard to the rules and without regard to the law and without regard to any collateral damage. >> reporter: a short time ago the attorney general released a statement that reads in part i am disappointed that the district attorney decide
