live in montgomery county chris gordon news4. >> thanks chris. >>> there is an investigation under way tonight in fairfax county following the death of an inmate. 37-year-old natasha mckenna died yesterday a short time after she was taken off life support. last week mckenna was being transferred to alexandria to face an assault charge. officials say she was combative and that they shot her with a taser in order to restrain her. she suffered what's called a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital. >>> d.c.'s department of corrections says it's still investigating how an inmate committed suicide over the weekend. tawana johnson was found dead in her cell underneath d.c. superior court yesterday. she had been arrested on saturday on destruction of property charges. the department of corrections has been working to prevent suicides in the jail since a news4 i-team report last june. we found that 70 inmates had threatened or attempted suicide since 2013. since then 40 cells have been retrofitted to help prevent suicide attempts. >>> federal investigators are back at the site where a s

loudoun and montgomery counties are only under the winter weather advisory until 3 a.m. further to the north we're talking frederick county, the panhandle of west virginia, cumberland, hagerstown, allegheny and washington counties, that advisory is until 8 a.m. we a hang on a little bit longer mixing with sleet and we have a wintery mix on tap for those areas. 38 degrees at reagan national airport with just rain, winds calm, dew point 29 degrees. we'll continue to see that rain changing over in areas where the snow is currently falling. so it will be a wet monday morning commute and maybe just a bit of lingering slush in a couple areas on the roadways, but since a lot of roadways have been pretreated it shouldn't be a big problem, but you will need the windshield wipers and it could be heavy with the rainfall. far north and west and higher elevations is where the icy spots could still be hanging on during the monday morning commute. in the afternoon windy conditions move in and dry things out. it's going to get temperatures to plummet. a flurry or snow shower is possible

i have reports of ice up around the howard county area montgomery county northern prince george's county. you can see that freezing rain developing and some sleet. down to the south, this is mostly rain. up to the north, westminster reporting snow. so this is something we'll also continue to see. but these are the areas of concern over the next couple of hour. you can see gaithersburg down towards bethes fairfax, d.c. bowie, out 66 notice manassas and warrenton, a sti mixing with a little bit of sleet and freezing down. now, this is the area that has mostly rain right now, but this is also the area i think could be the most concerned area early tomorrow morning in this area southern maryland the chance that maybe has the best chance for some delays as far as schools go. this is why. look at the moisture making its way in here. the moisture is making its way to the north t the cold air is making its way to the south. so because of that we have a ey in effect through tomorrow morning, 5:00 a.m. it is now including all of southern maryl again i do think prince george's county charles county

but it happened here in montgomery county. and the vicious crime took place inside this senior living facility. well, this afternoon, a break in the case. a big one. police have arrested this man, 60-year-old eric dyson. he had been staying here with his elderly father police tell us. well police say dyson who already has a long criminal record stabbed and killed dan belvin who also lived here. now, we have obtained a picture of belvin in his younger days. he was a retired u.s. naval officer who was a pilot during world war ii. well monday after a friend became concerned, the building manager here checked his apartment and found the elderly man dead. this afternoon, police say the victim knew his attacker and that dyson used belvin's credit cards at an a.t.m. shortly after the murder. dyson has been charged in the past for drugs, assault, and theft. this afternoon, you can add first degree murder to that as well. we should hear from montgomery county police in the next few hours. and we will have an update on abc 7 news this a
