it's a very fine study of what happened between detroit and montreal and particularly, on the niagra frontier. what taylor did was bring some of the new concerns historians have about how to write history. sort of approached his subject matter from this new perspective and i think it's a pretty good book. now, i will say this. taylor parachuted in. he's not someone who studied the year for 20, 30 and 40 years, so there are some mistakes in the book, but of all those scholars who have parachuted...
