but notice half moon bay, 13 degrees warmer in half moon bay right now. 75 degrees. you do not see that very often on my map here. 83 in downtown san francisco. we santa rosa up to 94 degrees. you can see some of those 80's over in the inner east bay, but down in the south bay, san jose sitting at 91. so it's all about the high pressure that has been building in and that is giving us that compressed marine layer, those blue skies and that will be the hallmark of our forecast over the next few days that we do still have a little bit of wind up in our peaks. you can see we look at what's become of that north northeasterly direction. that is a little bit of offshore wind and we're not quite done with that yet. as we take a look at our current window, you can see that a lot of this doesn't work its way down to the surface. having said that, that northerly northeasterly flow is still going to be with us as we get into tomorrow morning in particular, you can see another push that kind of rolling as we get into thursday evening. we'll start to see the onshore flow take shap

half moon bay, a record 90 degrees, that is at the airport. out on half moon bay got closer to 80 degrees, so a wide variation in temperatures along the coast. low 90s for the most part of two or above 90 degrees in both san francisco and oakland this afternoon. temperatures in the north bay also reached into the low or even mid-90s. santa rosa indicator kind of blending in with the ship behind it, but the temperature did reach mid-90s around santa rosa this afternoon. tomorrow, going to be just as hot or hotter. let's look at temperatures will top out, compared to average for this time of year. we are talking 15 to 20 degrees above average, upper 80s around the bay, mid-90s father inland. of course, climate change does play a role in this, but on our climate shift index, which categorizes how much more likely weather becomes due to the echoes of climate change, we're looking at spots around the bay, in the 80s and low 90s, this kind of heat is becoming twice as likely than it would be without the influence of climate change, but that is towar

what are some other ways for people to get to the san mateo county coast and half moon bay? >> well, not many. if i'm being completely honest. you have highway 84 pescadero creek road and then, of course, highway one from the north and the south so 92 is probably the most convenient for most people coming from the bay area. um, so yeah, definitely expect some traffic. with that said, there is a northbound 101 closure at whipple and redwood city this weekend all weekend. so keep that in mind as well. >> oh right, right. i mean i suppose depending on if you're coming from a little farther north, you could consider taking like 280 over to one. right. and then if you're right and if you're from the south, you could do, i think, what is it, 84 woodside and then over to woodside road. >> sure. those are both options in woodside. you know over this this winter that we had woodside road or 84 was shut down for, for months. but it is wide open that is certainly an option. so you would take a 101 or 280 exit west on 84 or woodside road and that'll get you there and then come up north

upper 80s for daly city and in half moon bay. isco we will hit the low 90s in the downtown and mission district areas. for the north bay, 90 in mill valley and 96 in ukiah. as we deal with the high heat across the region, it will back off by the end of the weekend as we prepare for a change in our pattern that could bring about a bit of rain. looks like most of the rain is further north to the bay area, but we will see a quick ramp up of temperatures and then a bigger cooldown possibly as we go towards next weekend. the first round of rain, possibly half an inch of rain but there's not a lot of it as you go south of san francisco. that blue area is about 0.1 of an inch of rain or less. there could be half an inch of rain or more for parts of the coastal northbound. we will watch out for that for tuesday. in the meantime, we are focused on the high heat, the heat advisory that continues through tomorrow evening and reach into the low 90s on saturday. some 70s in next week's forecast, and can't wait for that but we have hot temperat
