and you see that the temperatures, right, half moon bay about 55 degrees. well, a spot like livermore in now sitting at 79 80 right now in pittsburgh and about 60 berkeley. 62 in downtown san francisco, north bay. start to cool a little here. there are a little warmer. 77 in nevado, though. so it's interesting because some of the highs today feel like they peaked a little early and i think it has everything to do with the fact that we've got a different air mass that's kind of moving in and you can see it half moon bay where they've been great all day long, very different story in san jose where the sunshine has been out and fan has a one of the spots set to be, you know, quite warm today. but by tomorrow, dropping those temperatures by a good 10 plus degrees. and then we're going to go even lower as we head into thursday and friday. and that is when you get like a pattern change going on. that's the kind of drastic thing that happens and it is going bring us back to more classic san francisco feeling where we've got that marine layer. you can see we've got

our micro climates are doing something different today. 50s near half moon bay, bodega bay. here is the reason why. we have gusty conditions this afternoon along the coastline with wind speeds expected around 40 miles per hour just in the next hours or so from bodega bay to half moon bay. that will be the case into the evening hours tonight. breezy conditions around the corner along the coast. it is not so much in inland areas but let's pick on the inland areas a little bit. today we are in the 70s which is great. but we will warm up to the 80s as high pressure moves in warming us and drying us throughout this week's forecast just to see a cool down this weekend. how do we go from 80s to 60s? a cold front will move in into our weekend forecast. as we look at rain chances they start to increase as that moves its way in. not by much but we will keep a close eye on the totals especially closer to our friday, saturday, sunday forecast because there could be big changes around the corner. let's start with taking a look at the next seven days in inland areas specifically. we know

upper 50s on the coast for half moon bay. your temperature should climb into the 60s beginning on wednesday. one more day in the upper 50s for coastal parts of the bay area. middle to upper 50s in san francisco, oakland, inland, north bay, reaching into the lower 70s by tomorrow afternoon. farther down-the-line. what is the warm up, it kicks in we will see it replaced by a cool and wet weather pattern heading into the weekend. let's take a look at our side by sidelong range forecast. we do this when there is uncertainty with how things are going to play out. giving you a look into the forecasting process. we look at more than two forecast models, it is the challenge that we are facing, pinning down the rain chance for the weekend. american rain chance model, widespread, heavy rainfall in the forecast on saturday. the european forecast model says, yeah, maybe a couple sprinkles, a passing shower late in the day. the american forecast model keeps the rain going into saturday evening and saturday night with lingering showers on s
