along the coast will be cooler, upper 50s oakland, mid-50s for san francisco, pacifica and half moon bay and north bay temperatures aren't as mild, middle 50s as we begin the day saturday and right along the coast in the low 50s for bodega bay. you didn't warm up that much to begin with. that is what's going to happen to begin the day. everything depends on the afternoon temperatures when we're emerging from a heatwave. i can't say it's going to feel autumnal for inland parts of the east bay, still above average, but not nearly as far above normal, nearly 90 degrees in san jose, in the north bay 80s and 70s on the map, close to 90 down the peninsula and redwood city, mid-60s along the coast in pacifica. the tense-day temperature outlook for livermore shows above-average temperatures tomorrow and slightly above average for sunday and then we settle into a nice stretch of weather for most of next week and the other side of the temperature roller coaster going back up. talked about that with ryan about two minutes ago. we'll see a return of hotter weather hitting the homestretch of july. ex

but we're also going to see only low 70s for half moon bay. i think a lot of people will try to escape the heat and head to the coast. if you can. we are going to see san francisco temperatures in the 70s today and upper 90s for much of the north bay, from napa, sonoma to santa rosa, and 105 in clear lake. today and tomorrow is even hotter. we're going to see a lot more of these highs over 100 degrees into the north bay, away from the inner bay and the east bay, and then into the south bay up to 106, in morgan hill. as we look ahead in livermore, friday is also very hot. but if you're making plans for the weekend, it looks a little bit better for saturday. still, 96 degrees is hot, but it's going to be much better on sunday and we are going to keep those temperatures into much of next week. but we may be replacing the extreme heat with some humidity going into the weekend. this green here shows a surge of some mid-level moisture, and when we get that, we get sometimes clouds, higher humidity. it kind of feels more muggy, but also the possibili

and you see some of that fog toward half moon bay, but it's making its way inside the bay right now. he's really help to freshen up the atmosphere quite a bit. this looking from the berkeley hills back out over the bay. you see some of that fog there in the distance, but not much in the way of haze. looks like some pretty nice air quality around the bay area right now. a lot of green out there right now on our sensors. you can see in the san francisco and oakland, little hazy and parts of marin also in the santa clara valley. and of course, as you make your way into the central valley. but overall, air quality has been looking pretty nice around the bay area. now tomorrow, i think it gets even a little bit better. i think we're going to see more of that marine air a push further on shore, a stronger sea breeze that is going to clean things out and help to drop the temperatures a little bit further. but well, it's not last forever. in fact, just overnight tonight, some of that patchy fog moving in. the models won't even try to paint a little drizzle along the coastline. then as we hea

the pacific ocean. 66 degrees in half moon bay and 70 in san francisco. well, it's been really hot across the entire state. so it's no surprise there's been an excessive heat warning for southern california and into the san joaquin valley for us. it's been a heat advisory and that is set to expire tonight at 11 o'clock because look, what a welcome sight forecasting some fog along our coast pushing in across the coastal mountains and in through the golden gate. and there's a cooling effect. so that's the good news. seasonable temperatures after a hot couple of days we go right back toward the normal numbers for the weekend. only to bounce right back again as we head into next week. typical in the ave in the afternoon in the warmest inland spots. typical for tomorrow and for sunday. and then we really bounce back. the cool temperatures, a courtesy that little area of low pressure just off the las angeles coastline. keeping high-pressure at bay for a little bit high temperatures tomorrow. then top out in the 90's in the warmest in one spot. 84 santa. and the

almost 100 degrees in san jose, barely shy, 94 fremont, 74 in san francisco, 66 in half moon bay. we didn't completely lose the onshore influence. we're still going to be 5 to 10 degrees above average around the bay tomorrow with temperatures into the 70s and 80s in san francisco and oakland, inland still a good 10 to 15 degrees above normal, not as hot as today, but still hot and heat is a cumulative threat. the longer the hot weather sticks around, the greater the threat it can be, especially to more vulnerable populations. check on anybody who has heat sensitivity whether from health issues or lack of ac. relief does arrive over the weekend. >>> on the serious side to all this, in santa clara county at least 19 deaths are being investigated now as possibly heat-related, many involving people inside their homes with no ac. we checked in with one nonprofit group that's working hard to provide relief to the unhoused. four of the recent deaths were homeless or living in transitional housing. >> this year has been really, really deadly for unhoused people and this summer is just star
