what is being said about the criminal investigation. >> reporter: i touched base with pleasanton police and investigators will be talking more about this case later this morning. center point preschool is the focus of a criminal investigation after a complaint against a former teacher accused of tieing up a 2-year- old girl who refused to take a nap. the complaint filed with the department of social services says the former teacher bound the child's wrists and ankles with masking tape and took a photo of the girl. the incident didn't come to light until much later when the teacher apparently showed off the picture at a social gathering to several staff members of the school, one of them happened to be the mother of the child in the photo. the allegation was reported to police on march 5, although at this point it's unclear exactly when the incident actually took place. administrators said they are appalled and shocked by what may have happened. and in light of the investigation, centerpointe will be suspending preschool classes for five days so staff members can undergo additional training. school gets underway this morning, and this evening we're told centerpointe preschool parents will have a meeting, parents home, held by the school so any parents who have any questions about what may have taken place or this criminal investigation can have prayer and mystery. cardinals preparing to embark on what could be the most important day of their spiritual lives. they will enter the papal conclave, elect their next leader and set the tone for the moon bay. a crash in half moon bay is on highway 29 at -- highway 92 at 1. this crash has been there for going on two hours. from upper skyline to the main part of half moon92 is not available right now, it's causing some chain reaction slowdowns as people use alternative routes. i want to mention the traffic between 92 and pacifica is about 25 minutes there. okay. i think we're going over to the east bay here. i want to mention -- 580 is just a mess. it's slow from grantline road to 680. 45-minute drive there. it's pretty slow. let's take a look at at live pictures. 25 to 45-minute delay. it's worse than it normally is getting into san francisco. on the south bay commute, this is actually looking good in san jose along northbound 280. here's rosemary. >>> good-looking day. i'm noticing here and you will as well, we have a little bit of fog developing, just inside the coastline and bay. the north side, dealing with a little bit of patchy dense fog. so santa rosa, petaluma, novato, visibility is still down .25 in some areas. take it easy out there, especially if it's patchy in nature. you may have a great view and it will suddenly have a big wall to it. be

moon bay. we really need any rain we could get. this morning we are clear and cool. a few patches of fog by half moon bay. numbers chilly there in the 30s. we are looking at just a couple hundred feet of some of the low cloudiness. that will bring more sunshine this afternoon. but we are looking at occasional high clouds and the rain chances increase by the end of the week. so high pressure has remained off the coast and there is a couple weak systems that will drop down from the north. but i noted before, i'm not going to make much headway except for increasing clouds. our flow is going to turn more on show tomorrow w a few increasing clouds and that on shore push, we will be cooler to start the work week but today we are staying really mild once again with temperatures above normal in some spots. still a few 70s around the bay. and a few areas of cirrus from time to time, but another beautiful day and the warmest and sunniest of the next seven days really continues with today. but state-wide, look how mild and warm it is from north to south. 57 in the northern sierra with 64 in yosemite and in los angeles numbers in the upper 60s. at our coast really not bad. it could get pretty gusty and breezy this time of year and actually it will by the first couple of days of the upcoming work week. then with the increasing clouds, temperatures definitely going to be cooler than what we felt this weekend. highs today around the bay, 62 in san francisco with mid-60s on the peninsula, upper 60s. so very similar to yesterday. san jose 70 in napa. the cool 50s remain from half moonwe look ahead you notice the numbers come down each and every day with increasing clouds, especially come bertuzzi and wednesday. a slight stance of showers but as we get into the rest of the work week you see we are not only adding the clouds and cooler days and the likelihood of rain. over in the east bay today albany beach cleanup is underway. and also that oakland running festival. it should be a nice afternoon for that. but back home here we are another great weather resource for you to follow. that's live doppler 7hd on twitter for the latest bay area weather conditions. rain or shy get video forecast, spare the air alerts, and power outages and weather tweets from your weather team. things are thank youing. it's time. we will need that doppler on twitter. >> right. >> coming up next, nothing too fancy but it is written history. the story behind this engagement the story behind this engagement ring when we return. moon bay really coming down at times. in the last three hours half moon bay has managed to collect bt collect .25" of rain. the bands continue to move from south to north. i am seeing an organized line in the inner east bay and an organized line along the coast. even though that cell we pointed out to you over half moon has moved on, we have more developing here. so this amount of rain anywhere from .25" to .5" can fall in an hour's time. but it's going continue to move to the north. this line of showers is going to stick with us least through the next hour as it continues to move to the north. and eventually to the east. we're seeing light rain over san francisco. pretty widespread at this point, down into areas along the peninsula. and into the south bay. milpitas, fremont and the inner east bay, livermore, pleasanton, fairfield reporting a little bit of lightning and thunder. pitburgpittsburg and antioch seeing light rain. so this is what we're going to be contending with over the next few hours and into tomorrow. here is the system that is still almost 400 miles off the coast. it's going to shift closer to the coast as we sleep and by tomorrow afternoon it will be sliding over us. that is when we'll have the most unstable air in place. and so the best chance at thunderstorms is going to be in the
