welcome to moon valley, the newest city in the universe.rs, engineers, farmers, doctors — and every year, over 10,000 more come to visit. sounds great, doesn't it? which leaves me with just one important question. how on earth did we get here? moon valley is the vision of someone we have met before. japanese company ispace were one of the companies competing for the google x prize, which offered $20 million for the first team to land a rover on the moon by the end of march 2018. no—one managed to be ready in time but several of the projects are still ongoing. the israeli team recently did reach the moon but crashed into the surface. and as i found out when i visited their new headquarters in tokyo, ispace also haven't given up their lunar ambitions. in fact they have expanded them. we have already made a completed rover, so we have moved to the lander development. ispace has secured extra funding to put japan's first lander on the moon. deployed by a spacex rocket, the first one will orbit the moon in 2020, and the second in 2021 will land

in san jose 82 degrees in concord 81 in laos 74 degrees in the napa valley cool up toward the temperature of 61 degrees in half moon bay. alright, number wise we've got 69 degrees and the san jose now 60 in livermore so still comfortable in some of the interior valleys but cooled off now as overnight lows. getting a little chilly in some of the valley's i think overnight tonight still clearing things out and well you're going to see some of the clearing and that will give way to some cooler temperatures as we head to the early morning hours. system off the coastline now bring us a few high clouds across our skies we'll see more of those clouds in the coming days that system gets a little bit closer but tonight that low clouds and fog mainly along the coastline in the bay. i think the valley stay, mostly clear except for those high clouds and then mostly sunny and it's going to be warm again tomorrow so beautiful friday, but then the clouds roll in the temperature really a cool down over the weekend. air quality looks great on friday get out there and enjoy it is going to be beautiful sunny day outside and yeah look

valleys where we'reck 80s. finally, finally may-like temperatures. oakland 70 degrees in through hayward. along the peninsula, still a little cooler out there if you'll be hanging out near half moon bay or through the city. expect mid-60s. a combo of sun and clouds lingering in through the evening hours. d 77 in santa rosa. remember, i told you about that disturbance i was tracking. it's also going to be affecting the sierra. it's going to spark up some thunderstorms. and this is what it looks like over lake tahoe. a short wave trough is expected to drop in. it's going to kick up those thunderstorms for the sierra. in fact, looking at radar right now, i can see some activity starting to pop up. what does this mean for us in the bay area. that means we could see thunderstorms popping up in the north bay mountains and even the east bay hills. and judging by the fact we're already starting to notice some activity, we're definitely going to be monitoring this closely as we inch to tomorrow. the rest of the bay area not really expecting any rain but we'll notice an increase in that cloud co elevation areas and the hilltops. notice the temperatures are not really going to be affected.

valley, michelle kingston. >>after a 15 month long investigation, san mateo county sheriff's deputies arrested 23 year-old tristen cecile for the alleged shooting death of a woman in half moon bay. you may remember back in february shots rang out inside a residence on popper street in half moon bay. deputies arrived to find a woman later identified as kimberly cheer rose lying inside the home suffering from a single gunshot wound. she rose was taken to a hospital where she remained in critical condition. she died from her injuries on march 3rd. police in east palo alto are looking for a man who is accused of attempted murder. at 3 in the morning on wednesday police found a 26 year-old man with a stab wound that was on east o'keefe street just off highway one to one paramedics rushed the man to the hospital and he is expected to be ok. the victim did give a description of the man who stabbed him. and police came up with this sketch she's described as a hispanic male between 2030 years old with black hair and brown eyes, she's about 5 foot 6 and weighs 110 to 120 pounds, anyone who have may have seen what happened or knows anything about this potential suspect is asked to con
