right now moorpark is closed in both directions between clover and monroe street.ning we are learning more about the people arrested during the protests in berkeley over the weekend. 13 people were arrested and they face a variety of charges including assault with a deadly weapon. we have learned that one officer was injured while making an arrest. several officers were hit with flying paint. in total... 6 people were injured and had to be treated by paramedics. these are pictures of the people who have been arrested so far. many of the protesters and other politically conservative activists complained that their free speech rights were blocked by local politicians. a car hit a pedestrian at moorpark just after five this morning. the suspect then left the scene. the victim is at the hospital with life threatening injuries. the avenue was closed for hours while police investigated. >>> the mayor of berkeley wants the college to cancel the free speech week to avoid protests in the city. >> lee martinez at berkeley city hall waiting to hear from the mayor. >> reporter: the mayor made the request to berkeley yesterday. he was quoted by the chronicle as saying he doesn't want the city of berkeley to be a punching bag. now the campus conservative group called the berkeley patriot invited someone to speak and the last time he was here was in february but he never got a chance to speak. masked protesters vandalized the student unioning causing a hundred thousand dollars worth of damage and then marched on berkeley.. since thence there have been several demonstrations turning in to violent confrontations. the most recent was this last sunday. two students however think that the event should go on. >> i don't think that hate speech necessarily is a thr
