nbc bay area's christie smith is standing by in moraga. but first, meteorologist rob mayeda has a breakdown of what we'll see overnight. >> adding up the totals of rainfall, more than half a footfalling across the north bay, santa cruz mountains, even mt. diablo close to 6 inches of rain as we wrap up the weekend. across san francisco and san mateo, about 2 to 3 inches of rain. and we saw an inch and a half around fremont and los gatos almost 2 inches of rain. all this falling down on area a reservoirs which reached over 100% capacity. relief at the uvas reservoir there. combined with the heavy rain earlier, a flood advisory up into morgan hill that has been allowed to expire as the rain now is going to decrease in intensity. still showers around the tri-valley, into san jose and areas south of san francisco seeing a few sprinkles right now. as we head towards tomorrow morning with less of the showers likely hanging on a little longer, especially four your peninsula and south bay commute tomorrow, still dealing with a little bit of rain du

. >>> and heavy rains over the weekend caused a hillside in moraga to give way. that landslide is threatening homes on augusta drive near the moraga country clubs. homeowners say the hill behind their homes started sliding last tuesday. the land directly behind the two homes is an east bay mud water shed. in january a smaller slide damaged a bike trail. east bay mud and east bay regional parks closed that trail but saw no threats to the home above it. >>> a tree came crashing down next to a home in walnut creek today. look at the pictures from sky 7 hd. blocked the homes' driveway but doesn't appear to have caused major damage. big tree, though. the tree was in good health but uprooted in soil oversaturated with rain. >>> back to moraga. a section of green boulevard will remain closed several days as crews repair a sinkhole that opened yesterday afternoon. hundreds remain without gas service which was cut off when a traffic light pole fell and crashed into a natural gas line. authorities evacuated dozens of nearby businesses and told residents of 100 or so homes

this section still shut down here in downtown moraga because of that sinkhole you can see right there that formed about 36 hours ago. this was sunday evening and probably be another evening before they have this synsinkhole repiaired. 3,500 gas customers without service. they got about 2,000 customers taken care of yesterday. they had 200 people going door to door to turn on the pilot lights and make sure the gas was properly turned back on. they left red tags on the door with a number that people can call. we'll send 100 workers to try to return on the gas service for the remaining 5500 customers. this sinkhole as i mentioned formed sunday night. the city believes there was a storm drain that ruptured underneath this section of road here at the intersection of rheem and center. all that rushing water eroded it and caused the sinkhole to form and when that sinkhole collapsed you had a power pole or a light pole at the intersection that went straight down. power was also interrupted for a handful of business customers here near this intersection. pg&e has temporary restored that lecric
