jocelyn moran is at one of the b.a.r.t. station.bout what the board could consider today before making this final decision. >> reporter: it's been a back and forth when it comes to the mask mandate. two weeks ago you were required to wear a mask on b.a.r.t. within the last ten days you had the option for doing so. now you could be required to wear a mask once again. covid cases are rising quickly in the bay area. talking with riders in the last ten days, we heard from people ready to tear their masks off and others who said i'm keeping mine on. they had their reasons, whether it was the increase in cases or for their family. today the positivity rate in the state has come down slightly. it's still high. covid hospitalizations in san francisco and in other bay area counties have risen in the last couple months. that's something that the board will have to consider when it comes to their decision. the board meeting is expected to be under way around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon with a close session followed by the public portion. it's unc
