moreno winning. and statewide, a point-and-a- half lead from moreno waiting here to get anything from cuyahoga county. so, dolan has an outstanding piece of real estate. the other thing he likes is that larose who has also tried to align himself with trump has gone hard after the trump base. the trump voters. what dolan wants is a strong enough showing from larose to take just enough votes away from moreno to allow him a path to win this thing with the purity of the vote. the closer it gets to 25, that is where dolan wants to see in this race. that being said, if you are dolan, here is the biggest source of concern for you right now. these numbers may look good. but these numbers are basically mail in votes. the mail ballots are counted, tabulated and released first in ohio. if you see 18% of the vote in, you take a look in summit county. this isn't even 1% of the vote. you are looking here, franklin county. this the state capitol. one of the other biggies in this thing. 12%. you are looking at mail-

moreno, you see, carrying every single county in ohio last night. think a lot of folks suspected he would win here, but the margin of 18 points and carrying every county here, dolan we expected, he had run a couple of years ago, lost to another candidate, jd vance in 2022, his base is in cuyahoga county, around cleveland, he had won, dolan did, franklin county, columbus, the suburbs, a lot of suburbs up here, these are three areas that dolan had won in the past and moreno actually ended up carrying them. dolan did well in these areas relatively speaking, but it was expected he would win some of these and make this closer state wide. i think more of a sweeping victory for moreno in this primary than was expected coming into it. >> how is it shaping up in the battleground states? >> there is a general expectation ohio will be a red state this november, which will make the task for sherrod brown, democratic senator, difficult. he has to win over trump voters in that state. we have new polling out from some battleground states here, this is from marist.

but what do you make of moreno winning here and how he stacks up? against sherrod brown. i mean, he didn't just win. right? i mean, one with 18 percentage point margin over matt dolan, the more establishment backed dewine portman back candidate here. so a huge significant victory, obviously for moreno, for trump, who went in last weekend. there's no doubt about that. and continuing to put the stamp on the fact that that old establishment, republican party is no more as the dominant force inside the republican party. we know that it's donald trump's party but to your point, casey what is consequential here is the matchup for november because this is a race that could end up determining control of the united states senate. and sherrod brown has a major uphill climb in now, what was formerly a battleground state, but is now very red state of ohio. and he's running in a cycle unlike his previous three races as the state has gotten further away from democrats. so i know democrats got the candidate that they preferred, and i'm sure i'm wanted to get there, but that doesn't mean
