"today in the bay's" marla tellez joins us live with more on tonight's event. good morning. >> reporter: laura, good morning, it is wednesday, and that means it is search day for sierra lamar. volunteers typically head out on wednesdays from this search center, burnett elementary looking for the missing 15-year-old last seen march 16th. that's what's going on during the day. tonight, though, it's all about lighting up the night sky for sierra. it's an event called light the night for sierra. being put together by her family, friends, and the community is encouraged to take part. it gets underway at city hall in morgan hill, 7:00 tonight. now, the idea is to place flameless candles, small l.e.d. votives on the ground until the entire court at city hall is filled and lit up. you can imagine the sight that will be. organizers say once the court is filled, they'll use the candles to send a message to help sierra find her way home. this is how you can help, if you'd like to help light the

morgan hill, unhealthy for ground of ozone during the day tomorrow. satellite, the fog is still really kind of hung out here on the coast. right around san francisco. even into santa cruise. a cool start to the weekend. as high pressure builds in you're going to notice that fog squished down to the coast which does mean some patchy dense fog. possibly tomorrow morning around the peninsula and the seashore. but then marine layer which started off this morning at a 1500 dpeet thick is going to get squished down closer to 500 feet or maybe even lower a few spots by monday afternoon. so what you will start to see tomorrow is five to ten degrees of warming for inland valleys which means mostly 90s around the bay, starting off the morning monday in mid 60s for lows. kind of like the running start to the temperatures for monday afternoon. so we'll see those numbers climbing another five degrees inland in the monday afternoon forecast. tonight, 50s and low 60s. thick fog possibly on the seashore. during the day tomorrow, instead of the 80s i think low 90s aro

daytime temperatures up a little bit with 88 in morgan hill. 70 in santa cruz. 86 in los gatos. and 80 in palo alto. one of the hottest spots will be walnut creek with 8. also livermore with 90. 86 in dublin, and how is this? back by the bay, alameda with 72. and hayward at 76. for san francisco, 70 for you. low 70s in richmond. 75 in berkeley. and 74 in oakland. and not quite warm at the coastline. we'll find mid-60s, anywhere from half moon bay to pacific california. but as we head into this upcoming weekend, again, not only hotter inland, but note these coastal temperatures going up into the low 70s as we head throughout friday and saturday, and for the interior valleys we will be close to 100 degrees as we head into sunday. look at that. 97 degrees. so we're counting on that marine layer pushing out. and that's what is going to give us this big-time warm-up. and note this. by next wednesday, showers will be building. we've clouded up that seven-day forecast. not looking at a major storm system, but it is possible we may actually get our first raindrops of fall by next wednes
