so let's get right to those daytime highs into the afternoon areas like morgan hill and gilroy can expectures climb into the mid 90s so yeah, it's going to get hot at times through san jose, 83. and look at this range of temperatures in the east bay. we go from low 70s in oakland to some 80s down through fremont and the upper 90s in through antioch so definitely expect to go see the cooler temperatures around the peninsula as well as breezy winds at times in san matteo 75. redwood city, 76. the winds are blowing at 19-20 miles per hour. up to the north bay sonoma 88. santa rosa, 86. i want to talk about the breezy winds picking up through the interior around 2:00 you can see the winds 15-20 miles per hour. all through the afternoon then it starts to diminish and back off into the overnight hours. the latest drought monitor updated every thursday revealed no big changes. 60% of the state of california still remains under an extreme drought. 100% of the state of california is under some form of drought and right now in our long range outlook we're not seeing any real rain. at least not for

morgan hill 94. san martin 94 and san francisco 66 degrees. things are cooling off around the bay and the peninsula, but inland temperatures is around 13 degrees warmer compared to the past 24 hours because we have that high pressure that's been keeping us really dry, but also really hot around here. let's take a look at that fire danger index because anytime we are dealing with warmer temperatures and a bit of a breeze, there is that concern especially when you see the humidity levels like fairfield 19%, concord 27% and you think of all the dry brush. we've already seen a number of fires break out. the fire danger concerns do remain at least into sunday as well. as far as the cloud cover goes, we'll get a couple of areas of fog, morning clouds here and there by 6:00 a.m., but then really nice afternoon clearing with warm temperatures again. we do have a cold front making its approach. that's going to help cool us off just a little bit. even then it will still feel very similar to today when it comes to those temperatures. this is sunday aroun

morgan hill. and you can see right here located in a very difficult location. all right there in a canyon area. that's difficult place for firefighters really get a handle on that fire just because of all the shrubbery in the trees in and around that area and la times, the canyons will generate their own winds to sow some dangers, fire conditions. they're not as bad as it could be. just because we've got that on shore. wind and the fire conditions over the next 24 hours, actually going to start turn out to be okay overnight tonight, then again, start to ramp up by tomorrow afternoon as we'll start to see that sea breeze kick up. but again, there's a lot of moisture and that sea breeze. so that's really keeping the fire danger suppressed for the most part still, we've got some fog low clouds out there for tonight. some of the sea breezes continue to carry the fog on shore, making its way through the golden gate bridge right now on well off the coastline. you've got that nice swirl in the atmosphere
